When you realize how good trip mine grenades are, and how to use them in pve, it really isn't a bad exotic. It isn't the best, but it isn't bad. Looks the best though!
For example, on Confluxes in the raid throwing the trip mine grenade in the cave on right side works wonders, on left side throwing it in one of the paths for the same. Even better when you attach it to the wall instead of the ground. Plus during the lulls in adds, the extra time would be helpful.
Personally I get grenades way fast so I use it constantly. By far trip mine has become my favorite grenade.

Tripmines are good but how many times can you think where you used one and it blew up from being around too long and you thought "wow if only that lasted a few more seconds". Now think about how many times you have shot 3 shots from a golden gun and thought "damn if i had one more shot"

If it gave a golden gun shot and the helmet gave 1 it would be incredible. The way it is I had no interest. I'm leveling alpha lupi.

Your right, that helmet is pretty bada$$. But with gunfighter(cooldown perk) we don't really need the extra shot. I'm usually able to kill an ultra with my three shots and spawn 8 orbs. But as a hunter you have the worst grenades and with the spines you are able to improve the only good grenade the gunslinger has. With the spines you can stick the grenade on a wall where the enemy's will either die or take a ton of Dmg. The AoE is huge on that grenade and with the spines you get another mine before the other one expires. Without the spines we basically can only stick the enemy cuz the mine only lasts like 5sec. But I do understand that ppl like a 4th shot of golden gun. Even tho most of the time when I use the helm I'm looking for a target to kill when I have an extra bullet leftover.

Fair enough. I just dont use tripmines as mines so i dont see the value in the duration. I either stick someone or throw it at the wall beside them or behind them.

Thank you, not alot of ppl understand the power of those trip mines. I got the spines week 2 of destiny and been in love with the mines ever since. Allot of Dmg in PvE and instant kill in Crucible.

Its not the damage thats bad, its the armor stat. Tripmine duration extension is a joke, overall, hunter has teh worst grenades...and we are the only class that doesnt have a way to get two grenades.

Hunters do have the worst grenade but with the mines you can place it on a wall and it will cover that spot for you long enough for you to get another mine to place it either the same spot or a different spot. The mines are good but without the spines they are only good for sticking enemy's. and without those spines we basically have 3 useless grenades. The only other grenade we have that isn't completely useless is the arc bolts. But even the arc bolts are not really that great.
