So... you're a 29 and want to run the Hard Raid?

Seriously... all this nonsense about a 29 can't run hard mode is BS. As long as you have run the Raid enough times to where you know what you're doing and you have fully leveled guns then it's all good.
I remember when I was stuck on 29... I didn't care about guns, I just wanted that gear to reach 30. Now that I'm here, I still enjoy getting the rewards... but the true joy is running with a 29 or two and having them get that elusive piece of gear they've been waiting on. In fact, those are my favorite runs ;)
Here's hoping the RNGesus shines on everyone waiting for gear this week :)

I was lvl 29. Some guys invited me to the hard raid. We were 2 29's and 4 30's. It was the easiest raid I've done.

Excellent thread dude. I am 29 and get the same crap about having to be 30 to do it on hard mode. Add me on PS4: Makinen if anyone wants to do the hard raid sometime.

I dont know man i beat it first time at 27 n ive had good luck but i agree to disagree ive played with thirtys were we beat it at atone in one portal run wich was great n i played with 4 29 and one other 30 im thirty on all characters with no ib gear n we did flawless but i lost it the gamer score cause right when he died i jumped off edge haha

My friends finished the hard raid with 4 30s, a 28 and a 27. I hate hearing 29s aren't good enough. Its the skill of the player not their level...

All this BS about needing to be lvl 30 to run hard raid is crap! If you can do the normal raid continuously without dying, then you know it's time to step it up to hard raid. I find i get just as many kills (if not more sometimes) as the lvl 30's and usually i'm one of the last ones standing. It goes to prove that you don't need to be lvl 30 to complete the hard raid. What the hell did we all do before hitting lvl 30? Pretty sure no one complained about it and just got on with it. I'd love to get raid gear to level up, but my luck is being a bitch. Played with 4 lvl 30's last night. Pretty sure 3 of them died sooner than the lvl 29s did more often than not. Still only want to run hard raid with only lvl 30's? Please!!! Level makes no difference if the player/team can't hack it.

My first Hard Atheon got me my Hunter helmet, Mythoclast, and ship a few days ago, then running with my Titan the same night got me another helmet and Timebreaker (and yet another Mythoclast). So I was quite lucky, indeed. Lol.

All I need for my Warlock is boots to level to thirty and I have never run the raid with my Titan. I have a good amount of my legendary and exotic weapons leveled up. You are a gentlemen and a scholar. I played hard raid yesterday with 4 level 29s and 2 30's and we did fine, just means those level 29s have to step their game up and make it challenging as it is intended to be challenging

Ive been a 29 for 7 weeks now. I love doing the raid just dont have the luck everyone else gets. I have a huge stack of assendant energy. 200+ but that seems to be all I ever get no matter what I play. Alot of people get on othwrs fpr npt being lvl 30 and I just wanna say. Sorry I dont have horseshoes in my azz and I dont get lucky right away. Clearly bungie makes some players no mayter how good they may be really earn the gear. Normal raids on my 29 hunter and 28 warlock. I will rarely ever die and am always number 1 or 2 with most kills. Like I said. Im just not lucky to get all the gear and weapons on th first few tries. Its got to the point where I dont expect anything but energy and I do the raids for fun now.

I love helping someone through that first raid, nightfall, or weekly and hearing their excitement when they get that great drop. Lvl 30 helps in the hard rid, but it's more about skill and communication

1 ReplyI was a 29 up until yesterday and hadn't run the hard raid yet. My buddy let me join his group of all 30's and I was able to get my last piece of gear and a mythoclast as a bonus. People are great sometimes!
