That is only due to the fact that the last gen consoles have such little ram, its the same delay on 360. On X1 and PS4 the char page loads within 2 seconds. They have to store your char info on the hard drive, which has much slower read times than ram. The old systems don't have enough ram to store the info there.

No, it's NOT the same on 360. I've never suffered an issue like that. would suggest deleting your messages if you have quite a few, that can ake a big difference on PS3.

No its purely just the limitations of the console. The only way to make that better is upgrading to ps4/X1

Upgrading your hard drive to solid State may help but that's not a guarantee.
