What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

1 ReplyHitting the rocket trigger just as someone walks in front of me, or a mob jumps/teleports in close. Playing VoG for the first time, I jumped and hovered right past the middle pad, into the abyss.

The most memorable would have to be jumping high into the air about to drop my fist of havoc on 3 supplicants in the vog, I come down and there is a bubble around the 4 of us. Forgot to switch, I swear the sups just looked at each other like "ok, if you insist. Tora Tora Tora" and exploded simultaneously. Rofl

Jumped attack with a relic coming out of Venus gatekeeper. I hit the pillar in front of the plate

So we were in the vault of glass, hard mode, at atheon, fighting off oracles in the left side portal. 1 oracle left shield guy cleanses us and then what do you know a supplicant comes through the teleported somehow. Note we are still in there killing oracles. And then is right about to blow up in my face and kill all 3 of us and I barely pull out my rocket launcher and commit suicide saving the other 2 players lol. Thankfully I was sunsinger warlock but it was so scary and funny at the same time.

jumping backwards over a rock to evade a Group of melee Knights,took rocket out and shot just as i dropped behind the rock BOOM youre dead

Playing PvP skirmish when I ace the other team then I slide away to safety to realize that forgot I placed a trip mine before the fight then I kill myself... Which in case the other team send msg's LOL FAILURE.

Which time? Any time I blow myself up with rocket Launcher. I blind myself all the time with my grenades. Clawing at a wall in panic mode PvP while I get shot by 3 of the opposing force. Over jumping anything to fall to my death. #Destinyscrubforlife.

Trying to do the bounty complete a raid without dying, got to that Akron priest, shot a rocket and a shank flew in front of me, catching the rocket and killing us both

Killed my self with a rocket in the relic shield by accident then harpy went kamikaze on my team and killed everyone. Atheon was at 5% health when this happened.

In the crucible i wiped out 2 enemy guardians went to capture the flag I was fighting for a 3rd enemy came at me but luckily a friendly Titan came along to help. I went for the beat down to finish this 3rd guy off and did it! But the Friendly Titan must of had the same idea and as I beat the enemy into the ground the Titan dived at me with his special punch caused me no damage but sent me flying off the edge. That's team mates for ya

[u][b]1st[/b][/u] Weekly nightfall, nexus, killed 3 servitors, and all the captains and dregs and vandals, and in the section where you climb the stairs to go to the next section, I saw 6 vandals standing around so I whip out the Unfriendly giant and as soon as I shot my rocket, my buddy puts up the bubble shield. Killed me instantly. That was fun. [u][b]2nd[/b][/u] We start a weekly nightfall. My buddy runs way ahead of the group, and seconds into a no respawn area he gets killed so we all get booted to orbit. Fun.

Launched rockets off a fire team members back and killed myself more times than I would have wanted

It's a toss up, considering I've killed myself multiple times these two ways: 1. There's a path in the Steppes that leads to a cliff face that I keep driving off. Has happened several times and I can almost never remember. 2. Forgetting which character I am using and what build out. So when I use my Super, I've wound up getting killed because I was expecting a different result. Happens most often when I deploy a bubble by mistake.

In every bungie game there is that one wall I hit and always kills me . Wall are the most OP thing in all bungie games

Rocket on something right in front of me. EVERY TIME. I'm usually strafing as I aim rockets and I always strafe behind a rock or a low fence.

2 RepliesJumped up to fire a rocket at the Praetorian on Venus in Atheon's fight to help out my buddy. Rocket detonated immediately on the first Oracle appearing in my face.

I was soloing this week's nightfall (Nexus solar burn) on my new warlock without self revive. I got the nexus boss down to 1 hit and decided to use hezen vengeance. Popped up out of my hiding spot and shot a rocket into a tiny pole obstructing my view. Oh joy. Once I finally finished I got my 10th TDYK.

My buddy forgot he was using defender and went in for a FOH kill on a mob. It ended in "guardian down". Best thing ever lol
