What’s the stupidest way you’ve killed yourself?
I put up a post recently about the fact that even level 30’s can do stupid things. I had so many comments from people saying about the stupid things they’d done, I thought I’d put up a separate post. Here’s just one example of something I’ve done.
I started as a hunter and only had one character for ages. My wife wanted to try Destiny so she started a titan. I was helping her get her level up and went into the crucible to get some bounties. I saw a whole team claiming a zone in control and thought to myself “bingo! I’ve waited a long time to do this. These guys aren’t going to know what hit them”. As I wasn’t experience using a titan, I didn’t realise that if you’re sprinting your special launches you a lot further. I went straight over the top of all of them, smashed down the other side and got shot in the back by all 6 of them :p
edit: I normally try to respond to all of the comments if I put up a post, but there have been so many I'm struggling to keep up. Keep them coming they're priceless. It's nice to see people making fun of themselves, rather than taking the game so seriously

Doing the daily heroic mission of the Black Garden today & on entering the darkness zone prior to looking out on the garden for the first time my Titan died jumping down some steps... like 5-6 steps & died?!

For some reason my tripmine only brings me to a few pixels of health left and NEVER EVER killed me with full health. My friends die instantly with their tripmines, idk about me... On topic, my worst death was from VoG, the detaining shield appeared right when I shot a rocket at the Templar.

Did this last nite showing off. Back flipped my sparrow jumed off mid flip hit the ground shooting cabal second later my sparrow come back to earth landed on me -_- killed by the archtict..... Shooting the land tank from high point killed it.. fliped off the edge hit ground nd boom

I used pocket infinity to kill to kamikaze supplicants going after myself and a fireteam member. By the time it charged and shot they were now well within melee range. We all died a fiery death but at least didn't cause a team wipe.

I was killed by a supplicant. Revived. Killed again by a supplicant. Revived. I pulled out Gjallarhorn and my friend jumped in front of me mid trigger pull. Dead. Again...

Im a hunter i got trip mines... IB came up... OMFG GUYS TRIP MINES ARE COOL! *THROW* Hits the noob 3 feet in front of me in the face he stops dead i Ads my pocket and BANG BOOM POW!!! My mine blows us both to the reef. This happens so much i try to stick mobs cuz the "trip" part of this mine is weak unless on a wall or roof. On the floor its as waste.

Doing hard mode raid git trapped in a titan bubble and shield thing threw a mine grenade to try and break the shield and blew me up, felt pretty stupid after that one

Doing a standard heroic mission for some bounty with my friend, got to the boss, took out my Unfriendly Giant and as soon as I fired I went hurtling towards the boss with my rocket which then exploded, severely damaging me so the boss just back hand slapped me and I died. My friend was somewhat confused upon how I had travelled to the other side of the room and died so quickly....

We were doing the raid and we explained to everyone not to use rocket launchers while in the relic bubble. Not even a minute later I look just in time to see a buddy of mind kill himself by launching a ticket while in the bubble. He felt like an idiot and we all laughed. Good times. My worst death was when I had the relic and went to launch the super at atheon and slide off the edge and died instead. Wtf right. It was on hard as well so that didn't make it any better.

I used ward of dawn to secure the enemy heavy ammo, I then turned to the stunned enemies, ran towards them, rocket launcher raised... Suffice to say that I miss-timed my rocket.

Using the tripmine and I always do it. I throw it while their runnin at me and it kills me. I throw them on reflex but it's annoying sometimes

Threw the trip mine grenade for my hunter on a guy right in front of me and blew myself up. This has happened multiple times
