We're sorry, but you don't meet our qualifications.
I've got a bone to pick with Destiny. You see, I'm a level 29 Hunter (which seems to be it's own problem) wtih zero raid experience. And I feel like I have zero raid experience because I have a zero raid experience. I go to the LFG websites trying to get into a fireteam, but everyone wants raid experience. I get it, you don't want some scrub noob ruining it for the whole group, but at the same time you have to start somewhere right? At some point, every Level 30 did their first raid and probably did just fine.
Also, no one seems to want hunters for whatever reason so I'm leveling a Warlock (Currently Level 27).
I've got a mic, I'm willing to listen and learn. I'm just looking for a chance.
It feels like I'm applying for a job...

Dude don't make another character just cos some -blam!-ing assholes want a Warlock for self res and cheesing, unless you want to do it. If it's your Hunter you want to play as more try to find individual players instead of teams, you might find it easier to get people to play together

Finding people to raid is becoming a task on its own. Playing with friends is great however not everyone has 6 people laying around. They need to add a match making system. I have done the same thing and started a Titan but I got bored leveling another character up. Just keep trying there are still some cool down to earth people out there instead of these pea brain elitist clowns. Keep in mind that some of these level 30 guys or females can't do the raid with out their buddies that hold their hand. I saw it first hand and it's just smoke and mirrors. It's just people with a ego complex over a silly video game.

If u would b on ps4 I'd gladly run raid with ya. I mean...even if u have 2 experienced players in team and the rest are first timers it will run smoothly, it's really not that hard, just try it and best of luck mate ;)

You my friend have never seen 3 or more golden guns go off. Hunters are as good as the player behind them the same as all the other classes its the player not the character.

I'll have ya anytime. Golden gun can be usefull on oracles and you seem willing enough to participate hold ur own n most of all enjoy it dont wory about dying. Hook up with "scotty 7th" on XB1 i'll run it with ya infact im running a lvl 27 raid virgin through it this evening at 8;30 pm GMT if ur around.

Use the forums to find charity carries. I help VoG virgins all the time. I'm on PS4 so I can't help you, unfortunately.

Even the normal mode messages I found stipulated that either you had to have raid experience or had to be a level 30 in order to blast through it quickly. It was a little demoralising. I posted something similar in another thread however and some great members of the community have already added me and offered to take me through. If you're like me, I feel I just need to get a few of runs under my belt to be able to go solo in to another group and not let anyone down! For anyone interested, I'm based in the UK and on Xbox One. If anyone wants to add me and buddy up for any game mode (I'm more partial to PvE than PvP) then I'm all ears. I'm definitely easy going. I even think it would be quite entertaining to form a group of 6 who have never run the VoG! EDIT: I should point out that due to other commitments, I usually don't play until late evenings GMT time.

I was in the same place mate. Lvl 29 Hunter with no raid no nobody wanted me and Started levelling a warlock too. I've made some friends in Tiger strikes while using my Hunter and now I'm getting some advice and experience where I can and they are Fine to do normal and hard with my Hunter so don't give up on your Hunter he'll have his moment.

Hunters are awesome in the raid. Especially with the Golden Gun on supplicants outside the portal or the Goblins inside the portal. My friend and I that both have Hunters as our second account, carried 4 others that had not done the raid before. We taught them what and how to do it. It took some time of course, but it was fun and worth the time! I do not understand the hate on hunters. The only thing my friend and I struggled a little with as hunters was the jumping puzzle. We died two or three times, but still had to guide and wait for the others to get across. Hunters are fast and great relic holders. I would prefer raiding with my hunter rather than my titan or warlock.

Are you trying for hard games or normal. If normal I'd run with you, I don't mind playing with those new to the raid, as long as they listen to me I'll even teach them what to do with a relic.

If you were PS4 I'd run you through it no problem... these days I just do it to help people who haven't done it yet. At your level on normal it's actually so fun because you can revive people. For instance on the Confluxes I usually go to the top of the stairs on the left and shoot the Vex the instant they emerge from the door with my Fatebringer or even Found Verdict lol (IT HAS A USE IN THE RAID!!!). You can literally take the piss in normal mode at 29/30 so you should have no problem whatsoever. If people demand raid experience then just put your own team together. If you posted this on LFG you'd definitely get a response "LFM 29 Hunter. Normal mode. First run, looking for a kind team to help me through it. Fast learner. Have mic" I'm almost certain you'll be flooded with kind 30's who either help you on their mains or their alts.

4 RepliesI hear you dude. I've run the Raid 9 times. Completed it once. The first time was early doors and a total fail ;-) But a lot of fun, because we were all working it out. On about run 3 or 4, I got lucky with a good (and fun) team, and completed it. Since then, I've done nothing but meet elitist asshats. Which is absolutely no fun at all. Personally, I'd rather - and be happier - doing it with guys who've maybe not finished it, or only done it once or twice. Way more fun. Way more banter. There's nothing worse than playing with people who are all "I NEED that raid gear X, Y or Z". Or who are all militant "You job is this. DO NOT DEVIATE". I like teamwork. I like participating. I don't need to be ORDERED around while playing a game. Sadly, I'm not on Xbox One, or I'd be happy to run it with you. Warlock or Hunter. Keep on trucking dude - there are plenty of cool gamers out there who'll lend a hand!
