We're sorry, but you don't meet our qualifications.

I've got a bone to pick with Destiny. You see, I'm a level 29 Hunter (which seems to be it's own problem) wtih zero raid experience. And I feel like I have zero raid experience because I have a zero raid experience. I go to the LFG websites trying to get into a fireteam, but everyone wants raid experience. I get it, you don't want some scrub noob ruining it for the whole group, but at the same time you have to start somewhere right? At some point, every Level 30 did their first raid and probably did just fine. Also, no one seems to want hunters for whatever reason so I'm leveling a Warlock (Currently Level 27). I've got a mic, I'm willing to listen and learn. I'm just looking for a chance. It feels like I'm applying for a job... Edit: I run on Xbox One Edit: Thanks for all the encouragement! There are a lot of responses to go through. For clarification, I'm just looking to run on Normal (Not hard...at least not yet). I'll go through and add some of you who have offered, but feel free to add me as well. Thanks!

There are a few forums here for noobs looking to raid, I myself don't mind taking in some on a normal raid because is not hard. Just be honest when you post and throw out the line. And people who think hunters are worthless in the raid, clearly are noobs and haven't used a hunter. My lvl 29 hunter is my fav over my 30 warlock to use in a raid, especially on normal because my 4 golden gun shots take out oracles and harpies with one shot. People are dumb, just gotta be patient but persistent

  • For hard raid I fully understand their position. For normal any good players should accept and teach you.

  • Your bone, should not be with Destiny but its players. Too many people out there do not want to help others. They want to get through it fast for the loot and get out. The Raid is the most fun you can have in an game and it should not be all about the rewards. Those guys should be ashamed. I would be happy to take you and either of your characters through the Vault on Xbox One. I usually do pick up groups but normal is not hard if you are a competent player. Just message me if you want to play!

No reason they shouldn't take you on a normal raid at least. Hard would be very challenging at 29 without any raid weapons, but you do have golden gun for oracles, so that evens out kinda. Personally I like having a hunter, golden gun supplicants and people will want you back. I run normal with my alts, if we need another I'll look you up. Edit: PS, here's a good way to practice relic without raiding, go to the sword of crota misson, practise killing swarm princes with the sword. It's the same controls as the relic, relic just replaces grenade with cleanse. Practice the jump and slam, minotaurs are only a little tougher then knights anyway, once you can kill them no problem you have the harder part of the relic down.

  • My advice, and this is what I did: Just watch a video or read up on how it is done. Do it on normal first. As long as you have a good idea of what you are doing, you should be able to get a group for normal. It goes without saying that for hard you should definitely have experience with normal first.

  • Add me,my clan isn't opposed to teaching someone the raid it isn't all that hard to pick up and we still do normal raids cause not everyone has all the body armor or weapons. People that sit there and say "huuuuuuurrrrrrr durrrrrrrr I only do it hard mode" just ignore them. I'll still run normal on my lvl 30's just for the shards and energy cause I'm going to need them down the road and I've had more exotics drop from Atheon than anywhere else on normal

  • I would not worry. You are good to go for Vog. Lv29, solid guns. In fact I would say you will find it nice experience. Don't give up maybe you are just having bit bad luck on the forums and the raid finder website.

  • Most people wouldn't be too picky about a 29 w/no experience in the normal raid. I'll be running normal on my warlock this week (not sure when) feel free to add me on xb1 and I can shoot you a msg when I do it.

  • Same problem on Ps3, resorted to making new characters just to spice things up when I haven't even played all the content. I'm not a noob, I'm a pretty hardcore gamer- I played all night last night and only had a half hour nap about an hour ago (6pm UK time) because I wanted to hit rank 5 on Iron Banner before it went and I did have 4 days I couldn't play this week. Yet due to the fact I haven't played thhe raid yet no one os interested. It feels like when applying for a simple job like being a waiter or cleaner and the company turns round and says that you need experience- I have played computer games before pmsl. But at the same time, especially bearing in mind the comparison I made, it goes to show that this is life. People don't wanna invest their time and effort and risk it not paying off, yet at the same time I have to do the same thing. It's a team game and how do I know the other 5 party members are going to be able to get through it? I could be wasting my time. On a more constructive note, anyone on PS3 hitting the same issues- hit me up, I can do it, I know I can.

my first raid... /haunting look in his eyes....as he hears the screams of a thousand tormented souls crying out helplessly against the dark.... its true we all started somewhere.... I myself have completed countless raids on hard and normal....if you were on PS4 I'd gladly take you along....but as your not I offer a suggestion....look the raid up on youtube...study it and learn before you go. if you study well no one will suspect your noobness.

Find a raid mentor thread and sign up for a newbie raid run. That's what I did so I'd know what to do when stuck with random groups.

You just need to find a normal raid, and run it a few times. People will accept anyone in a normal raid... I do understand the hesitation of taking 29 with no EXP into hard raids.
