ib gear will always be a joke to raiders
Its not that we dont respect the player him self as a raider grinding week after week to get level 30, when we reach that glory bungie desides to tweak the game for others sort of a hand out face it ib gear to easy to attain complete a bountys u got 30 light no rng no dealing with oracles no glitches no wipes. Just walk your happy ass up to that prick and by please give me a -blam!-ing break. Then now you a thirty let go raid with the vets ib gear is not raid worthy sorry to burst ur -blam!-ing bubble raid gear forge for raids n will carry over to the next raid. It has specs for that helms spawn orbs for team mates the rest of the gear works with oracles gaining super abilty faster so yea ib gear not worth shit to a raider so there u have it form a raider

Well since only the most rent iron banner gear hits level 30 and you can only equip one piece of exotic armour at a time that means all level 30's have one piece of raid armour. So I don't get what the bitching is about.

Are we talking about the same raid gear with perks that will literally be pointless in the next raid? Unless that raid also contains Vex and Oracles, you raid gear is useless. Also, it's now called the "rave gear" because of the glowsticks. I prefer the look of the IB gear as I'm sure many others do. You probably also suck at the vault so you need to make yourself feel better by putting down people who wanted gauranteed light 30 gear. I know I ran the raid as the top person in my group for two months straight and only got the chest. Sidenote: if you suck in the raid you seem to get better gear (got full raid gear in one raid by not even trying). If this proves to be a plausible theory, it can be used as another way to prove you're bad at raiding. Just saying.

You have to win in ib to rank up And alot of pve heavy players are trash in pvp So good players or those who endured a significant k/d got ib That's one way how raid gear should be obtained. There's should always be a guaranteed way and then the "rng better armor" way

I have all raid gear for all classes, but I'm choosing to use iron banner gear on my Titan because I like how it looks. I've done the raid almost 50 times and a 30 is a 30. I don't care what gear they're using. If they're good than awesome, if they're bad whether they are using iron banner gear or raid gear than I'll kick them. To clarify, I'm not saying I'll kick them for being inexperienced or slightly under leveled, but If you're just straight up bad and holding us back. I've seen horrible horrible players who were decked out in full raid gear and I've seen terrific and very raid experienced players that has to use iron banner gear. You guys need to get your heads out of your asses. A 30 is a 30, period.

I also got 2 characters up to level 5 in the IB and let me tell you that is WAYYY harder to do than completing hard mode for the raid. so i do respect IB gear. You can go around all you want and talk highly of yourself but you arent fooling anyone. EDIT- also you are missing the point to IB gear.... its for pvp.....sooooooo rank doesnt REALLY matter unless its IB

I have all raid gear except the chest. It doesnt feel earned, just feels like i got lucky. And ive done over 50 raids. Iron banner gear feels more earned because I had to slay actual people to earn mine instead of just beating up on A.I.

Owww booohooo.... 1 of my buddies never did the raid and missed out on the spire loot when he joined in. 1st loot drop (oracles) and he got Raid gear..... so please stop saying that it's IB gear that's easy to get!

That entire time you were grinding in the raid you should know so was I. You should be glad the IB event came because now you get more help raiding. If you were a true raider you would appreciate that fact alone. I have IB gloves and I will continue raiding until I get raid gloves then upgrade. Me doing the same amount of dmg and sustain only helps my team.

2 RepliesI PvP & PvE all the time, complete almost all vanguard & crucible bounties (no fusion or sniper rifle bounties). I've bought everything from the Iron Banner. I have 2 raid guns & armor (aiming to get more today). Vanguard rank 8, Crucible rank 7. I like all missions & most maps. I don't see what the big problem is, I know I don't have the best stuff or the highest ranks but I enjoy both worlds. Why can you?

You can technically do the raid once and get all of the gear if you're lucky enough (I know guys who've gotten all of the gear and the vex in 1 1/2 raids). I have both the raid and IB gear with my titan, but I go with IB's arms/legs because I think they look cool with the wolves on them. Don't hate.

The raid armor is glitched and causes you to lose ammo for whatever it's adding to when you die. It's practically retarded to keep those boots, especially when dealing with a raid team of randoms.

I'm pretty sure I'm a raider. I have the IB gauntlets because I haven't gotten them from 6 weeks worth of normal and hm raids so go -blam!- yourself. Gear is gear. If you want to be a self righteous bitch because you got lucky with the drops then go right ahead. 2 RepliesFirst off, stop making some of the other 30s look bad with those English "skills." Second, to talk the talk you have to walk the walk. Combining all your characters total, you've done less than 7 raids total. Even then you aren't amazing. Short Version: You just seem to suck in general but do a bit better at pve things.
