Will Sony ever invest in Security?

Investing in some security for their systems might have been a good idea. Sony Corporation has been hacked. Globally, Sony is offline right now as the Corporation is dealing with this. With the world moving to more and more digital platforms as the everyday norm, is this even acceptable to let this happen to your systems? This isn't a DNS like most people claim as "hacking", this time it's the classic, actual hack of their systems. While I do not in any way condone what the hackers are doing, how could one of the world's largest technology firms ever let this happen? Discuss.

 • Their online security isn't great but they just barely switched over to a paid service so it'll probably take time to build it up which is the problem because they don't have time. I remember reading an article about one of the people who work in security and says that it is outdated and needs a major overhaul.
