I agree with you. I didn't really participate in the Iron Banner because I'm not terribly skilled at multiplayer for the Banner. I kept getting slaughtered. I'm also working on my Thorn bounty so I didn't want to lose my points. However you get to 30 is whatever. Both ways are earned. One side you earn through multiple runs on the Vault, the other side you earn through wholesale slaughter of guardians.

from reading over the comments are gripe is with any player who used ib grind to make it to level 30 or 29 if they are missing the chest raid 30s just dont feel they are of any help since they have less experiance, yes rng can be brutal but atleast experiance is earned,. beating the hardest challenge the game has to offer or playing IB non stop for 9ish hours win or lose gain xp and rank up thats the diff raid > ib

I would only consider it fake on my own characters. The raid gear has better perks like dropping more orbs and increasing heavy and special ammo capacity. Being a 30 doesn't mean as much without the added effects. I'm not against it, tho. Being a 30 makes high level PvE activities easier. Just doesn't do much in the Crucible.

When you reach 30.. it matters not everyone. Just get their. Who cares if you are PvE or PvP 30... one will be the most helpful in the Raid.. the other.. the Crucible. ahh who am I kidding.. We Raid 30s are all that matter ;)

2 RepliesThe "Real" 30's make me laugh The reason is, that they all are just acting like the Inheritors from reach where they think they should be worshipped. just because you have a skull helmet, it doesn't make you some kind of demi-god. it only confirms that you wasted your life away. Soon as their demi-god title is threatened, they are all kicking the bucket in a strop since they won't be popular anymore. anyway what's more challenging? 1) the 30 who cheesed of atheon to get gear/ who cheesed off the cheesers to get gear? or 2) the player would had to fight the cheesers in Iron Banner against overwhelming odds and won the right to lv30?

Lol. People who got it through IB earned it more than folks relying on total rng. I had 3 toons that I cleared hard mode on every week, and they were all just missing boots. And Xur? So a random engram giving you an exotic or a drop in nightfall means more than the player earning 5-10 strange coins every week, and then buying the same weapon??? Some people are just stupid.

I consider both iron banner and the raid earning. For the raid you work hard to get the drops, grinding raid after raid to get that gear. Same with the iron banner except the gear is guaranteed.

Very true. It's kinda sad. People are just trying to make themselves better than everyone else somehow. It's also hilarious that the "real 30s" claim that they earned it when they know that if iron banner didn't happen, they would never make 30. Everything in the game is random. If we follow their case, then no one has ever earned anything! (Sorry for the rand :/ )

Yea, another thread like this tried to say the same thing but sounded like a troll. It doesn't matter if u got lucky or not. If u are lvl 29/30, I'd do hard raid with you. If u lvled gear as much as you could. You are a worthy destiny player to me. Nobody is a fake lvl 30. You did whatever u could to get that. It's real. I like the iron banner armors for looks also. I'd wear the IB warlock boots over the raid boots just bc of the cosmetic appearance.
