I feel like trading would be too much of an exploit. Like in Borderlands, with duplication, it got a little out of hand.

I'll agree on the duping, but would you still be saying this if Bungie could prevent that from happening? Especially if you have to acquire something of equal value first?

No equal value on an earned item? How are the items we earn have a equal value in which to achive to get item x. Its rng remember?

Equal value as in exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, raid gear for raid gear, etc... Basically a system that ensures new players would have to earn something before they could get something else in a trade. It would also mean you would have to be willing to give up something in return, so no handouts.

Exactly. But they could make it work, as long as they had enough systems in place. Maybe a time limit before your next trade, or like in the original post, a vendor trader. Overall, trading with an AI would be best, but depends on how they do it.
