Leveling IB does not reward you with packages from the postmaster like all the other factions do. Once you hit lvl 3 and every level after in any of the 5 regular factions they'll reward you. Usually it's a piece of faction armor or a faction weapon but you can also get energy, shards, motes and coins.
Edit: forgot faction shaders as well.

Usually it's 1 ascendant material or mote of light, consider yourself lucky if you get anything else... at least that's been my experience

Yeah the first few levels I was getting gear. Once I got past 5 I started getting the motes and such.
