The banner rep only allows you to buy their stuff according to that level The faction rewards are better after lvl3. It should give you at least one purple per upgrade. I've been with DO since day one and after 3 I started getting legendary gear and guns.

No shader yet though, I've heard those come much later in the ranks.

what rank are you in DO? I am level 6 and still no shaders:( My buddy reached 7 and got one of their shaders!

Finally got a DO shader, Bittersteel, at lvl 9 reward.

Yeah, but after I realized I only have DO gear besides my exotics so it doesn't change much but it's more of a black and steel rather than black and white. It makes the exodus cover look a lot better too.

Damn I'm actually 7 atm. That makes me feel a little better at least. It would be more if I hadn't been switching back and forth from Vanguard as well. I'm currently 7 on both VG & DO.
