Is it possible to IB rank 4 if im horrible at pvp?
I'm horrible at pvp and I'm unable to do most of the bounties. Is it possible for me to reach rank 4 before the end of IB? I have the shader and emblem from the last IB but my rank was reset so idk if they would still give me the 10% rep buff.

Depends how long you have to play. You will still get reasonable rep as long as you win at least once every 5 matches, but that would rely on finding a good team to carry you every five matches. That's the biggest setback. Your items will apply the buffs and you can buy the tempered buff every 12 hours. It might take you 10-15 hours over 4 days but it's definitely doable without bounties.

It really is up to your team. Each players skill impacts the likelihood of victory. With teams of 6 max, 3 inexperienced players could be the downfall of that team. Besides, if you lose you receive an item called a Medallion of Iron. These medallions are useful, because when you lose, say, 3 matches, you get three. Each medallion is turned in when you win, and is almost equal to double experience for winning, so when you lose. So if you get several consecutive losses, and then a win, that win is almost equal to triple exp, or quadruple exp, or (whatever that term for 5 is) exp. You can only hold up to 5 medallions though. But, if you have motes of light, and are willing to spend them, you can buy a buff from the IB vendor which increases IB reputation earned for 12 hours. When i bought mine, i had 3 medallions, i won the next round, and it got be so much more exp than usual. Wearing the shader, emblem, or class item boosts exp gains, if you have access to those.

1 ReplyI am not that great but there is a high chance that one out of 5 you will win at least. If your whole team is horrible and you go on a losing streak just reset the lobby and try and find another team

Wear the shader/Class item/Emblem. DO THE BOUNTIES. don't worry about WINNING so much as you worry about COMPLETING BOUNTIES, PS: Tempered.

Most of the bounties are pretty easy, 10000 exp is just playing a few games. AR head shots just takes time, Melee is pretty easy, and MG head shots are pretty easy (may I suggest Corrective Measures?). The only tricky bounties are headshot sprees and 10 kills without dying.

I didn't think it was possible but after a lot of advice from a thread I did on here I jumped in and got to rank one one five matches, three losses two wins. I was only bottom of the team once so that's ok for me. I now have the emblem and I'll get the buff thingy tonight. I know I have a long way to go to hit five and I probably won't get there but I'm going to try. Finding out I can do regular crucible bounties and get crucible marks has made it a lot better for me, all I want is to get rank three crucible! I only managed one IB bounty though, the 10000 xp one. Working on the rest.

1 ReplyI'd suggest getting with a team. Trying to do it solo, the randoms can get you a lose too easily and running solo, it's best to be quite good. I personally will never run Crucible solo, the code does not treat everyone the same. This is an Activision game after all...

Its not Impossible to reach rank 4 being awful. It will just be a very long grind to get all the wins. And get the bounties and focus on one and the others will come. I'm rank 4 going for 5 tonight!
