I feel ya on most of this. The initial trust for 30s in raid groups will go down. They'll be a whole new class of kids who can't help a group through the rough parts of the raid. BUT they did put a lot of time into getting rank 3/4 in IB (albeit in a short amount of time) and still need at least one piece of raid gear to hit the 30 mark and join the Master Race. The way I see it, it'll cause people looking for help with raids to be more vigilant with whom they recruit. (I have a long drawn out, unfeasible idea on how to avoid the confusion that involves players having two levels. One in PvE and one in PvP.) Everyone deserves an out to get to 30, and as happy as I am there's a second way to do it now, it is going to muddy up the picture on who can perform certain tasks, since not everyone walking around as a 30 has the same resume now. Personally, I'd like to see a way to get it with faction armor. But I'd also like for the factions to function as more than a cosmetic shop.

  • They never had the same resume. I watched someone who had never completed the raid get 30 from chests and drops at the end of Atheon. They still have no idea what the relic is.

  • Man, it's not like raid patterns are impossible to understand. Doing hard mode is all about level. Unlike other traditional RPG elements, there are huge penalties to being under level. If you got gear that let's you survive damage and take damage, then it's just fighting off waves like everything else in the game.

  • Up until the Templar, yes your right. But when the relic comes in to play, you need experience, and as a 30 you should be expected to take that Relic. If there are two 29s in the group, and you get teleported with them during the atheon fight, that relic is your responsibility. If you don't know how to use it, you just killed everyone. Also, with no raid experience, do you know where not to go, where to watch? Sure you can take an extra hit or two, and it makes a world of difference, but if you don't know what your doing, your still dead weight. I don't mind helping people run a raid who don't know what their doing, but I like to know that going in to it. Also, if your inexperienced, the Normal raid is where you need to stay at until your comfortable, period.

  • You need experience for the relic? Lmao, we usually give it to the most useless 30 in our group hahaha. The relics the easiest part of the raid besides the jumping part...

It's not hard to work the relic. Look how you are dividing people into the "experienced" vs. inexperienced like it's the most serious thing in the world. Just let people play the damn thing. If you mind other people in general, and despise their lowly casualness, then mmo style gameplay is clearly not for most of the wackos playing them.

Buddy I'm a casual, I work and go to school, I typically play at night. I know what I'm decent at and what I'm not. I'm also an addict so when I get interested something I turn it up to 11. It's just nice when you get in a game you don't have people over compensating. Like I said I have no issue helping others. But when I'm trying to get something done, it's nice to know I'm going with others that at least have a clue what they're doing. Can't count the times I've heard "I dont want the relic I don't know what to do" and life is divided into "experienced " and "inexperienced ", contrary to popular belief not everyone deserves a trophy

  • It's a game. You play it once and you're experienced. If you can play this game to level 26, you have enough skills fighting off waves of attackers etc. Super Mario Bros is harder than the raid. Quit acting so serious and let others try it, even if they don't know what to do. Me and my homie play raid and we've never used a mic this whole game! Ain't nothin to it.

  • Your a goddamned idiot with the reading comprehension of a -blam!-ing 4th grader if you can't get the -blam!-ing point I'm trying to -blam!-ing make. I don't give two shits how good you are, nor do I take it that serious. BUT if your going to do something, and you tell someone you can do something, you better -blam!-ing be able to do it.

  • Quit worrying, most people can do any raid in any game.
