"Where did my Destiny LFG topic go?" Find out here.

First, a little background. Bungie's Web-Team has heard the cries of those looking for fireteams, clans, or other guardians to play NOW. And to answer those cries, they have re-organized the Bungie.Net forums. Take a quick look at the image above. See the cool new stuff? Forums dedicated for Raids, Crucible, Clans, and more. You can get to any of those by clicking here and diving feet-first into the location where people are looking for your future post, or where you can search through theirs in order to find that "perfect match". Ah, but what about your "missing post"? Not to worry Guardian, it has been preserved. Since this forum tag is no longer the "best and most appropriate place" for LFG topics, your previous post was retagged and teleported to where it is in front of that audience you were attempting to reach. To find your topic, open up your profile and take a look to the right-hand side of the screen. Your recent posts (including your topic where you were looking for others) should be listed there. Click on that topic and you can see it in all of its glory, located where all other guardians can see it. Check out the awesome new banner at the top of your thread too! If you are set to receive notifications when you get replies, then you can also go to your relocated topic by following the link in your notifications. Yep, it's change and change can hurt (as well as take a little time to get used to). But this is a change for the better. It helps you to search for match-ups/team-ups that fit your needs, and not have to look through other forum "clutter". I hope this helps.

 • Now that this (the new forum/tag system) has been live for a while, I've made some interesting observations. First off, I just took a peek at #recruitment. You may want to too. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Topics/0/1/0/Recruitment Go ahead, I'll wait. Back? Good. Did you notice what I noticed? I saw a forum/tag where there was an INCREDIBLE amount of activity, members, posts and people connecting. At 25 threads per page, there were FIVE pages where the last reply was <5 minutes old. That is a CRAP-TON of players connecting. So, I see a couple of "take aways" from that visit. 1) The members who are misposting into #gaming and #community are a small, VERY small minority. Many of whom don't know that there is a HUGE pool of potential players they could be getting their LFG topics in front of. 2) This gives me the idea that the better/more we educate misposts, and show/inform them that instead of "maybe getting a reply, maybe not" that they can REALLY benefit from posting in the most appropriate area. Sure, their posts are a disruption and/or distraction in the non-recruitment forum/tag, but the really sad thing is that they are unaware that they are missing out on precisely what they want/need. 3) AND THIS MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING A lot of people who are not posting to #recruitment are using the mobile app and MAY not either be aware of the new location for LFG (a sign-off/back in to the app should allow them to see it) or, their Bungie.Net/app account may not be configured properly. THIS REALLY MATTERS. If a user (web or mobile) does not properly have their guardian (from their game console account) properly linked to their Bungie.Net user account, they WILL NOT be able to post to ANY of the Destiny-related forums. If you can not see their/your guardian when you look at their profile (or yours at https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile) then it's not the app or the site that is broken, it is your account. It is not configured correctly to get the most out of the Destiny experience. Open a topic under #help for assistance in properly linking your profile to your account. For those folks who are copypasta-ing in educational and helpful advice? Thank you. I give you my word that when I see those posts and if there are replies, I open up and look into those replies. If someone is rule-violating when being given good, correct and helpful advice in a polite way? They are being warned/banned as appropriate (when I see it occur). Anyway, just some additional information to add to the topic/discussion. TLDR: #Recruiting is getting TONS of action and the people who post there are getting what they are looking for... and getting it FAST. The misposters may be interested in knowing that.
