You are loosing the chance of four extra drops but saving time by skipping the normal. It has been my experience that it is more rewarding overall if you do normal then do the hard raid

It's not necessarily 4 extra drops. Those drops on normal our pulled from the normal loot pool. The dual/double rewards on hard are all pulled from the hard loot pool. So you'll have better chances at getting hard raid loot by skipping normal. Plus once your high enough level, the loot from normal isn't much, such as the exclusive gear/weapons you can only earn from the hard raid

There is only 4 extra thing in the hard pool compared to the normal helmet vex sparrow and legendary ship why lose 4 extra drops for the possibility of two things you might get anyway

Actually you are mistaken. Fatebringer- arc hand canon (hard raid only) Timepiece- arc pulse rifle (hard raid only) Vex Mytho- primary fusion rifle (hard raid atheon only) Praetorian foil- fusion rifle (hard raid only) Helm- (hard raid only) Those alone are more than what you listed. Also the are entirely worth getting.

Ok I forgot the other three guns but again you can still get those when u go back and beat the hard raid

What I'm getting at is there is no point to do normal raid other than help people if you can clear hard. Or your using a lower level character and can't clear hard yet. Here's a simple question: Would you rather draw once from the normal loot & once from hard loot Or Draw twice from the hard loot each time, which has everything the normal does and on top has other exclusive gear/weapons that are better?

You don't get double hard loot drops lol. You get normal and hard together. It's not double hard.

I understand where you are coming from all I said was in my experience I am rewarded more by doing normal then hard. I have done it both ways and rngesus rewards ME better that way it seems. It may be different for other ppl but IN [u]my[u] experience it seems to work better if I do it normal then hard[/u][/u]

I would agree with you normally but if you saw my other post about the rewards I got you would see what I mean by "in my experience" you get more loot when you do them normal then hard.

You get 5 chest and four drops per raid. The four drops come after beating oracles, templar, gatekeepers, and of course atheon. B/c it is rng there is no garuntee you are truly getting double rewards on the drops. If you do it on normal then hard you increase your chances of getting something you need by adding four more drops per raid completed on hard. I hope that makes sense

Sorry about the late reply, but it does make sense...except I can personally confirm you get double rewards. The chests are shared between normal and hard mode. So regardless of what you do first, it's the same amount of chests. But what happens when you do hard mode first is, you get the added loot of hard mode for the encounters (oracles, Templar, gatekeepers and athipn) but instead of 1 roll, you get 2 rolls. If you do normal then hard, then you only get 1 roll per mode. But on normal you don't have the chance at the hard mode only loot. So it is more beneficial to do hard mode first

But you still get those drops if you skip norm because tyoi get double the drops per boss I'm failing to see your point

I've never once ran the VoG on hard and not received two rewards per reward fight. Mind you I run VoG on hard with 3 different characters a week. Perhaps results were different for you, but myself and my friends always receive two drops. If you're not, you should contact Bungie as you're somehow getting screwed.

I hope that makes sense[/quote] This was what I was replying to. Not your OP (original post). Was just arguing the fact that you indeed get double drops for hard. As you stated it's "RNG" whether you do or not, but it is a guarantee you get double rewards if you have not already completed it on normal.
