I've been seeing a lot of Level 30 characters in the Tower lately, and I can't help but notice... they all look the same. Some of them might have different chestplates or helmets, or different shaders; but every single one of them is wearing at least 3/4 pieces of either [b]Hezen Lords[/b], [b]Prime Zealot[/b], or [b]Kabr [/b]armor sets. Here's the deal; I like my Armada Type 3 armor on my Titan, and my New Monarchy armor on my Warlock. It suits my characters perfectly, I don't want to have to change armor just to get to Level 30. But if what if they put a system in place that would allow you to upgrade ANY Legendary armor to +30 Light, thus allowing you to get to the max level without having to wear Raid gear? Here's how it would work; every normal piece of Legendary armor purchased from the Vanguard, Crucible, and Factions would have a new upgrade available called "Luminous". This upgrade, when purchased, would give you +3 Light for that piece of armor; apply the upgrade on all 4 pieces of Legendary gear (or 3 pieces, and have 1 Exotic) and you'd get to Level 30. This would then improve your chances at beating higher level challenges such as Hard Mode on the Vault of Glass, or any content in [b]The Dark Below[/b]. But just what would it cost to get this upgrade? Considering what it takes to get Raid armor, I think this would be reasonable enough: [b]Luminous[/b] (Legendary Armor Perk) [i]-Increase Light by 3.[/i] [b]Materials Required[/b] [i]-25 Mote of Light -12 Ascendant Shards -16 Armor Components*[/i] [b]*(Plasteel Plating, Sapphire Wire, Hadronic Essence)[/b] The result? it would be easier to get Raid armor to Level 30 if you have it; but can also reach Level 30 with normal Legendary armor, at greater expense of materials, namely Motes of Light and Ascendant Shards. It would also give you a more practical use for Motes of Light.
