People would be wrong to jump to conclusions like that if Halo 4 wasn't garbage.

For F**** sake let me clear this up for the upteenth million time! Halo 4 was a great game, but it wasn't a great Halo game. Yes the reason many people think it sucked is because they are comparing it to freaking legends not your normal everyday game. So please stop saying Halo 4 was garbage, sucked, etc. If that was true it wouldn't have gotten super high scores across the board. End of rant.

You didn't clear anything up. You just angrily spewed your opinion at an opposing opinion. People are right to compare it to "freaking legends", because it was supposed to be the next iteration of a "freaking legend". You also don't seem to understand how game journalism works these days.

Halo 4 is the beginning of a new saga by a new developer and it was there first try mind you. If people hadn't gone into the game expecting it to be as good or better than the other Halo's for a first try and just went into it with an open mind, I believe the opinions would be very different.

You're just blindly defending the game using Waypoint copypasta. 343 flaunted about how their dev team is almost entirely "industry veterans", plus they were fully backed by Microsoft, so treating them like they're new, inexperienced, and low on resources is just fanboyism. Halo 4 is the result of a good team being bogged down by a terrible design direction, most likely brought upon by what the publisher views as "a safe investment".

OK I'll take that as a good reason. Sorry I knew that if I tried angrily defending the game I would get an actual reason of why they think it sucks instead of people just saying stupid things. Nice talking to ya and thanks for proving me wrong on a few points :)

Beat halo 4, got good at multiplayer, and beat spartan ops. It still sucked

I liked halo 4 but it was. It had a pop. In the ten thousands after only a year. That said people are freaking out over comparatively minor things. What I've seen of the leaks looks great so far.

I am still re-playing the campaign alone and with friends and consider it, next to ODST, the best in the Halo series thus far since it still is fun to play. None of the Halo multiplayer's kept me engaged for more than one or two months, except Reach's custom games and its forge mode. In general I eschew competitive multiplayer in any game - I do try it but I probably drop it soon afterwards.

Oh, I'll give you that, halo 4 had one of the best campaigns.
