Would be even better if we could exchange 2 of the same color for a type we want. Example: 2 purple class engrams for 1 purple primary engram.

Nah bad idea. Makes game too easy. With so little to do we don't need it any easier to get what we want.

Making the game unnecessarily hard isn't the answer to extending it's lifetime. The answer is more content.

Doesn't make it hard just means u need to play not take short cuts.

When the rewards system is entirely based on RNG, just playing the game doesn't guarantee anything. Having control over the game, even a little, being able to focus on specific goals and maintain a genuine sense of direction and objective, rather than aimlessly trying everything in hopes of even the most meager reward.

I don't disagree, but as is, progress is just being stifled by poor reward systems.
