The reason I don't like the thorn: mag size + reload speed. The perks on the gun are great and it's actually not a bad gun, but it was clearly limited in development with PvP in mind. I find it perfectly usable in pvp but in PvE the limited ammo/reload I terrible.

Im also not a fan of its base damage. my un upgraded devil you know seemed to out damage it in pve, plus had 12 mag instead of 6.

Yep that's my problem. I gave thorn to my warlock, since that's my hand cannon toon. Prior to thorn I was using The Red Hand(10 rd, lightning fast reload), and Lord High Fixer(11 rd, acceptable reload). Now I get 6 rds, worst reload speed of any weapon I've seen in this game, and did I mention the 6 rds?
