lvl 30 all You Need is Boots

There are only one pair of boots that allow you to reach lvl 30. Further more there is only one way to get those boots, raiding. The level cap should not be the limiting factor of a game. Successful and fun games use gear to make end game interesting. I don't see myself playing characters past lvl 28. I've tried my hand at the raid got to Atheon just ran out of time to beat him, players had to leave. However the raid experience overall was average. I was thinking of playing it again giving it a second chance however it's broken because you decided to "fix" it. Sorry but leave things the way they are. Speed running is fun. It's a different type of challenge. I think you have to much pride in the raid and your ego has gotten in the way of the game. Destiny needs more gear. Gear allows different weapons and abilities to be utilized in new ways allowing drastic changes in play styles. Your game has no variety of gear. Furthermore the gear we find doesn't make us feel powerful every exotic looks like flamethrower however they are all a cardboard sleeve of matches. We want gear and weapons that allow us to lay waste through combination of their stats and unique abilities. Looking past the unflavored soda water that is destiny gear. Another big issue is that getting to lvl 30 can only be done one way raiding. Don't get me wrong I'm a PvE guy. However now I'm only looking to play destiny only once per week with my lvl 28 warlock. My warlock has nothing to do now except raid and get a legendary sparrow. You have effectively bottlenecked the end of your game and are choking high level players to death by boredom. My recommendations are to make the level cap accessible through more venues. Then add gear to the raid and harder parts of the game like your nightfall strike that make people want to play it for the rewards. As of right now being at lvl 28 seems as good as 30 without an additional 300 hours of repetitive game play and trying to remaster a raid that gets changed every week because some dev's ego got stepped on. The gear as well just doesn't seem worth it. I'm a fan, just bored with how narrow the game becomes to progress past lvl 28.
