Your girlfriend sounds like my sister. -_- I'm currently working minimum wage at the JCPenny, but I'm doing whatever I can to get my foot in the door of the industry so I can supply the entertainment that we all play. I already have a portfolio and a crap load of Student projects. The best Student Game I have ever made as a team in college was Pants Adventure. Anyway, I'm either going to be an animator or something else in the field, but oddly enough since I'm someone that's suppose to develop the content, I spend less time playing games now mainly because I know all the secrets on how they work, I mainly play older ones since they represent Nostalgia. I'm currently trying to get a certificate in Animation, hence I only go to college twice a week as of right now. [spoiler]If your GF hates video games and doesn't want you to play them, dump her.
