You mean like by giving them powerful exotic weapons like the hawk moon, or entire levels in both single player and multiplayer that don't exist on the other? Good question, why would they? (By the way, the answe is because Bungie is pissed at Microsoft) In any event, how powerful the armor is doesn't make any difference - all legendary tier armor is the same, so putting it on the legendary tier wouldn't be giving us anything significant the other console doesn't have, just something extra. Also, even if it was more powerful for some reason, it still wouldn't matter because we don't play on the same servers as XBox players, so we have no advantage over anyone - everyone in the game has access to the same stuff we do.

Oh, there are plenty of better weapons, to be sure. That's beside the point. I was simply explaining the many reasons why your previous statement was wrong. There are exclusive exotics so obviously the tier makes no difference - being a higher tier doesn't make them "significant". They are still just extras either way, so long as they're not the most powerful gear in the game.
