Should there be matchmaking for the raid? Yes or No? No in between answers or "Yes but ......"
YES = matchmaking, just matchmaking, no filters, options, or kicking. Matchmaking as it is in the strike playlist now.
NO = no matchmaking
IF YOU SAY "YES MATHCMAKING BUT WITH......" YOUR ANSWER SHOULD BE NO BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT MATCHMAKING THE WAY IT IS
If matchmaking was made available it would be just like the current strike playlist matchmaking. No filters, options, or kicking.
If it is kept the same then raid and weekly strikes will continue without matchmaking.
Those are your options.

Guardians Make Their Own Fate

Considering my only current option is joining randoms via forums anyway, I would much rather the game do if for me so I don't have to friend randoms all the time...
-
I don't understand why not just add a private option. Matchmaking for those who want it, private for those who can get the people
-
Have to have options. Or make it so you can't enter the Q unless you are like 28 with a verified mic and achievements.
-
My online friends are wussys so they never attempt the raid. I would love to try it (even with stranger dangers)
-
Normal raid yes. Preferably with modifiers. Hard raid no. No way in hell.
-
i'd much rather look for people than be paired with randoms
-
there is not question IF there "should" be matchmaking because there IS already Matchmaking ( for example at destinylfg.com..) the question is, "should it be rather IN game than Out of the game " ?
-
Just matchmaking for level 26, I feel like if you want to do hard then you should put in the effort to form a group.
-
Yes. It's not ideal, but, if you are desperate enough it would be nice to atleast have the option. Even with 30+ people on my friendlist I have a hard time getting a group together for raid every week.
-
I've had dozens of terrible experiences with random people so I'm gonna say no.
-
The last thing I want is to go into a raid with 5 other people who don't have any experience in raid AND no mic. People complain about crucible/strike team ups so why on earth would you want that on the raid.
-
I think there should be both so you could have a party and also if you alone play with randoms of course this probably is not the best idea but just for the poeple that havent ever done the vault
-
the only reason i dont want it is because you might get people who dont listen or dont have a mic
-
I say no. So you match make and you get someone who is garbage and you boot them? I'm all for giving anyone a chance, but you see enough people here talking about how bad randoms are. You get frustrated and leave yourself, now 5 people are in a bad spot(doesn't matter you and your buddies did it with 4 these arnt your buddies). A different set of frustrations and complaints will come out of it. Sure the OPTION would be ok.....I just say no thanks.

Edited by Insomniatron: 11/6/2014 10:07:44 PMI'd rather wait days and days for my friends to be ready to raid, than to get paired up with a random assortment of squeakers and noobs and AFKers. Edit my bad grammar
-
Some of the biggest problems is being able to access the raid ag lvl 25. Because of this you will probably get lvl 25 in the raid when there are enemies up to lvl 28. Another problem is the people who have never done the raid before and have under leveled gear. Big no no
-
Yes, it should have that option to allow custom fire-team matchmaking. This is suppose to be a next gen game, most games out there now have both options to play with friends or form your own custom team as fire-team leader. Fire-team players can vote a player out, if he or she doesn't have a mic and have the option that he or she can close fire-team privacy settings. So no other players can enter the fire-team, once he or she has a full team.

Edited by Ollie Choklit: 11/6/2014 9:31:35 PMthe only people who want matchmaking are the people who suck and want people to carry them. like level 27's and 28's wanting to get carried threw the hard raid. HELL NO you're the same assholes that want everything nerfed because your too pussy to gain any skill. -blam!- you
-
As long as there is a vote kick option.
-
Absolutely or there should be an option for it. Alot of people go to sites like DestinyLFG and get a random group together anyway. Honestly not sure why the game was setup like this, VoG is not that hard and there are alot of helpful guardians that will lead/training people and work with/direct others to what there supposed to do in there. I've probably have 95% less "friends" on my PSN if it wasn't for VoG.
-
I already hate the people I find on destinylfg and in strikes I say no. To many restarted people playing for matchmaking to work other then some rng lucky fluke.
-
yes PLEASE I am ready to kill! This is insane. I'm so tired of people claiming they can run this hard raid then spend hours with people who can't stay alive for 5 min.! Please fix this issue. And if anyone wants to help me out that can hang hmu PSN snerbonite, got gatekeeper check point I would love to complete!
-
There should At least be the Option for it!! Am lvl27 Hunter, Spend nearly 6days playing time but never did a raid, would love to though but just haven't really worked it out. Matchmaking would make it way easier....

Edited by DnVrDt: 11/6/2014 9:02:11 PMWhy the hell no filter? They should do something to belance the groups.. First of all the system should automatically check for your country and make join people near your location at least in your nation (simply check console language or account info). Then the system should check if a Mic is connected and allow people to research only for Mic players or all of them (you choose). Then the system should make belanced teams, a decent good team for a 26 should be 4x26 + 2x27 so this should be the minimum requirement for a team (158 levels) A decent hard raid team should be 5x29 + 1x28.. Or they could just modify this minimum overall level cap (it's just my first thought). This should be a base for a decent matchmaking for the raid then bungie could work on this to make it better. I hope they follow this route : belanced and controlled matchmaking... The matchmaking can't affect who already has a team and don't need matchmaking, they Will continue raiding as they are more familiar.. this is only another option for the ones that find difficult or can't have much Time to search for a team. Sorry for grammar mistakes I'm not mother tongue
-
No. I don't wanna have to carry randoms through the raid. Bad Idea.
-
No. The strike I did a few seconds ago made me even more confident with my decision. I queued for a strike and it threw me in a middle of the last boss. At first, I thought I was lucky. But this level 30 guy was doing a 24 tiger strike from the safe spot (same strike as this weeks nightfall) No wonder the other two left him... I mean seriously... /sigh
