Raid Matchmaking? Yes or No
Should there be matchmaking for the raid? Yes or No? No in between answers or "Yes but ......"
YES = matchmaking, just matchmaking, no filters, options, or kicking. Matchmaking as it is in the strike playlist now.
NO = no matchmaking
IF YOU SAY "YES MATHCMAKING BUT WITH......" YOUR ANSWER SHOULD BE NO BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT MATCHMAKING THE WAY IT IS
If matchmaking was made available it would be just like the current strike playlist matchmaking. No filters, options, or kicking.
If it is kept the same then raid and weekly strikes will continue without matchmaking.
Those are your options.

Like I said in a different post. No, they should have nightfalls, and weeklies match made with a working chat system, that would be enough to over a short period find competent people to do the raid with. Randoms in a raid are the worst most frustrating thing in this game. I don't mind teaching but what happens when a 28 gets match made with 5 level 25-26? I'm sure you would rethink your answer then. And that's just reg raid. Not to mention hard mode.

Definitely yes. No option still exists - you can still create a fireteam then enter. Yes helps you fill that last slot or equally find one.

No because all people do is bark orders. Then do the total opposite of what they say get killed and -blam!- it all up. I would rather play with friends. Just need to get time to do the bloody thing.

Yes, because a social game shouldn't require going to websites outside the game to make a group if you didn't already have a large group of friends.

I think that would help spice things up fighting with complete strangers. I haven't taken on the raid yet, but biding my time.

Bungie just makes us do the grunt work, so there mind as well be match making in game to save people the trouble of posting and messaging and all that. It should not however full in your team if someone gets d/ced so that they have a chance to rejoin. (This of course shouldn't be an issue but instead of fixing their servers they patch weapons and boss fights)

2 RepliesYes I would love it. People seem to not realize if you have a full party you won't get randoms. Just like for strikes. You go in with a full 3 and it jumps right in. Same for raids. You go in with a full team of six and it'll just go. I don't care about fully beating it. Aetheon never gives anything good anyway besides on hard. As long as I can beat a good amount of it and get most of the rewards I'll be fine. Matchmaking with randoms is no different than coming on here and making a team of 6 with.....you guessed it! RANDOMS!!!!!!! these forums. essentially function as a matching making system.

1 ReplyI'd have answered "Yes," except to me, "no filters" means "no mic is OK," in an environment where FAST verbal communication is crucial. We aren't asking you to mic up and bare your soul or even attempt to socialize like you would at a real-life party in a room full of strangers (and trust me, I'm probably the biggest introvert in my very small circle of friends). What we DO need is for you to be able to back up your teammates, call out warnings, and be able to ask for assistance, which you can't do if you don't have a microphone.

Every week your matchmaking manually anyway. I've played with a group and one quit because he couldn't commit. This is going to happen with matchmaking or not. I'll trade a chance of it happening a little more in exchange for the simple push of a button.

I end up with randoms through the forums anyway. Might as well make it easier to find people. They could have it setup where everyone needs to ready up before it starts giving people a chance to talk teamwork or backout if no one had a mic.

Yes! fortunately I found a group recently but this would be fun as they aren't on all the time. Also an in game messenger; I find it hard to believe that they can't implement something where I can go to the roster menu and click on someone's name to message them instead of going to friends list.

I think Raid matchmaking will cause a lot of headaches (do you see the current state of affairs with the Strike matchmaking? i.e.., AFK's and rude/unsatisfactory experiences.....) Imagine the mess that would be Raid / Nightfall Match Making? I understand the want and in some cases, the need, for Raid/Nightfall MatchMaking but keep in mind that not everyone plays well with others. I think it will hurt guardians, more than helping them. FWIW

I think it would be a bad idea..but I guess....just know if you ever enter raid matchmaking there is a very high chance you will not complete it. Also it will most likely start you from beginning every new match which means everyone will have to be dedicated into playing. It's really not that hard to get on the forums and find a team...kids are posting like every 2-3 minutes..let alone the tower has people that are always willing to help. Atleast if there was matchmaking....let it match you up with people with similar experience. I think that would work better...leave the kids and noobs to deal with it themselves lol and if they get frustrated..find a team!

There should be a proper in game Looking For Group system, even if it's just as simple as region chat. It would be no different from finding a group on the forums, except we would be doing it [i]from inside the game[/i]. Imagine that: A game that let's you find a group [i]from inside the game[/i].

Well bungie could implement a reputation system into the raid MM to keep people with no mics/uncooperative/rude out of the matchmaking MADE FOR HONEST PLAYERS. Not too shabby of an idea!!

Considering my only current option is joining randoms via forums anyway, I would much rather the game do if for me so I don't have to friend randoms all the time...
