You might be missing the point. She may be trying to tell you that she thinks you spend too much time playing games. That's for you to decide, but just know that she can decide if she wants to be with someone who plays that much.

International Sales Manager for a leading Brand turned Market Analyst for the same company. I am currently studying to become an Internationally Certified Brewmaster of Beer. In my off time I spend time with my fiancee, friends, and family. Gaming (especially Co-Op) is a great way to keep in touch over long distances and spend time with friends (who also enjoy gaming). Perhaps my time with gaming will be shrinking in the near future, but I will always have gaming in my life in some shape or form. It's a great hobby and definitely in line with other entertainment (tv, movies, etc.) except it is interactive.

Edited by JOKER96BRAVO: 11/3/2014 7:05:57 PM
my gf says that no one with a good job would waste time on video games.
I guess that depends on how much time you want to spend on video games. This is really quite simple. Liking video games doesn't mean you are a loser or can't get a good job. Much like a job, you have to learn to balance your life. Not too much of this or not too much of that. obviously the more time you dedicate to something, the better things get in that department.

45, married, two kids, two mortgages (one being a motorhome). I have a 6-figure income working in IT leadership, and find gaming a great way to unwind.

I'm an older gamer married with 2 kids, I play mainly at night when the kids are asleep. My day job is I'm a clinical Hypnotherapist, which can deal with lots of serious issues from addiction, fears, phobias etc. I have gamers on my friends list that are everything from unemployed to an aerospace engineer. You can't judge people because of what they do with there spare time, for me it's escapism.
