Wow, this took 2 weeks to be moved from destiny to offtopic

I have an amazing job
I rub sponges on walls
I work at a municipal water treatment plant. Decent pay and good benefits. My wife manages group sales at a condominium resort. We both play video games.

Edited by BanditNation: 11/23/2014 3:34:32 AMWell, there have been studies saying that doctors do a bit better if they play video games as a hobby.
-
Well, I go to school... And I play a lot of video games. * sips hot chocolate *
-
I sell counterfeit items to Guardians. Making about 300k Tears a year.

I work at a vegetable farm (Strange job for a gal I know) but it's great pay for my age :3 Its 11 hours a day, everyday, excluding Sunday's.. and yet here I am playing video games and meeting nice people on a daily basis for more then 4 hours a night :-) Rather do this then gossip about someone's stupid ass high school break up and watch pathetic TV shows all day. ^.~
if you could post what you do for a living it will help me out
I'm a female, in my 40s, I work for a medical management software company. Have my own home, cars & boat. I've only been gaming a couple of years but I really enjoy it. I spend a few hours each night on the xbox. Less time in the summer as I spend more time out on the boat.
my gf says that no one with a good job would waste time on video games.
Exactly how much time does she spend sitting on the couch watching crap like Dancing with the Stars or other TV shows? I think it's rather funny when people criticize gaming and then in the next breath start talking about who's going to be eliminated on this week's Survivor.

When are you breaking up?
-
My husband and I are avid gamers... 2 TV's, multiple game systems... Ect.. He works as a full time mechanic making fairly good pay and in the Summer we run our own business! Gaming is a lifestyle and we work into our busy lives!!
-
I work at a bar part time to pay for bills the reason I'm part time is I have college classes so I don't have enough time to work full time between class my social life and gaming with friends and roommates
-
Well to be fair, PewDiePies life is video games and he makes millions... Although I think there are more talented and deserving people out there.
-
I'm an 18 yo high school student getting ready for college. Lol don't hate me because I'm young

I completely agree with her... The only reason I bought Destiny was because of a certain guy that I thought I knew said he loved me and for the most part he was and still is the epitome of a loser. When he had a job he would ditch it just he could play with his buddies on here while ignoring me. He is an all around irresponsible dipshit. I will guarantee half the ppl that respond here are going to fluff up and completely lie about what they do. Anyone that has a full time career, family and (real) social life is not going to have more than three hours(if that) a day to devote to video games. If they do then their priorities are flucked .

Doesn't Vin Diesel play WoW?

Edited by Spooky Delusor: 11/6/2014 12:06:03 AMThe achievement hunter guys' job is to play video games and I'm pretty sure they make a good amount of money.

Edited by Decimator Omega: 11/5/2014 3:52:34 AMYour girlfriend sounds like my sister. -_- I'm currently working minimum wage at the JCPenny, but I'm doing whatever I can to get my foot in the door of the industry so I can supply the entertainment that we all play. I already have a portfolio and a crap load of Student projects. The best Student Game I have ever made as a team in college was Pants Adventure. Anyway, I'm either going to be an animator or something else in the field, but oddly enough since I'm someone that's suppose to develop the content, I spend less time playing games now mainly because I know all the secrets on how they work, I mainly play older ones since they represent Nostalgia. I'm currently trying to get a certificate in Animation, hence I only go to college twice a week as of right now.
If your GF hates video games and doesn't want you to play them, dump her. Find someone that's better for you in the future. There are plenty of fish in the sea.
I am a engineer

Tell your girlfriend that you know a guy who is a double-major in Lehigh ;) (Engineering and Journalism)

Edited by MR DANGEROUS: 11/5/2014 12:17:37 AMAutomotive Locksmith 20$-30$/hr depending on OT. Plus 10% comission (sp?) on every invoice.

Licensed Massage Therapist, making $45-$60 an hour working only 3 days a week and make the same as my FT working husband. And have plenty of time logged on this game too. While also doing about 17 hours a week in volunteer work.

I am 28 making just over $50k working in a lab at a steel mill. HS diploma, no college degree. It could be better, but it could be a lot worse. Plus, added bonus, my job is easy enough I can browse these fine forums and spend time with you hoodlums. I can get anywhere from 3-5 hrs of Destiny in a day. On weekends I get less time because we do more family things. Believe it or not, no biggy. The age old argument of games being a waste of time. Unless your GF watches 0 tv, she has no argument.

Buddy of mine is head chef at a fancy restaurant. Plays a good bit

Edited by Deleted235708: 11/4/2014 12:39:57 PMWell I don't have the best job right now because I'm 17, but it's not that bad and I work a lot and still play video games. I work at a hotel if it makes a difference and I'm going to study for Architectural Engineering. Edit: And no. Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering are two different things. People keep telling me they're the same thing.
