Agreed and Ive played a good majority of the games on that list and even more. A little embarrassing to admit but final fantasy tactics took me four years from when I was 10 to complete with everything in game unlocked and maxed. I could only imagine the hours I logged to FFT while i was also addicted to spyro the dragon.

  • Spyro was awesome! I was terrible at it but I didn't care. I think a lot of my habits formed for gaming in general came from that game. For example, it was Spyro that taught me how to avoid obstacles while chasing targets in 3D environments, to check every camera angle for hidden spots, how to wait for the right moments to attack enemies, how to control flight, and to always check behind every waterfall. Those games were real platforming gems.

  • Games like this were great training. Just like the training I did playing Rift and WoW while I was looking forward to Destiny. They are real mmo gems, something I could only wish Destiny could be.

  • I think Destiny had its' chance and failed. We shall see. I don't speak for everyone.

  • I agree, it would definately take a lot for them to regain composure. I here Final fantasy had a title that released and then recalled. To fix major issues so they could re release it. That had to have taken some balls to accomplish. At least their fanbase has a developer they know they can count on.

  • That is absolutely true. The game had too many problems so they went back to the drawing board and fixed it. I wasn't one of their players so I didn't look into the finer details, but it did happen. I have seen more than a few people calling for the same thing here.

It honestly wouldn't be the worst idea. Seriously though, activision prolly just got scarred Destiny could have toppled them. Out of hysteria of fear they may lose their empire, they nerfed Bungie. Activisions chance to take down their greatest opponent. It is sad if it had come to that.. It would have been spectacular if they could have worked as a true team though. And just in case aby of their enployees read this, Id still play CoD even if Destiny were great.

  • I'm not a CoD fan, but I respect your opinions and your right to play whatever the hell you like. My problems with CoD are largely about principles and what it has done to gaming anyway. I recognize why people like it and I will admit that I have tried every single one, even if only for a few matches. It just isn't for me. That said, I can't say I disagree with the idea that this game needs a complete rework. However, after dropping $500 million on a franchise, I don't see any possible way that Activision would be okay with that. It calls to mind an old expression that my grandfather used to use: "throwing good money after bad." Sometimes it is better to cut your losses and try harder next time than it is to keep sinking money into something to keep it afloat. It's likely that if an Activision or Bungie employee read this, they wouldn't even agree with me at this stage that the game might be in need of some major changes anyway. If Mr. Ryan's interview with Eurogamer is any indication, they aren't yet aware of the severity of the issues that this franchise faces. It's a real shame because Bungie can clearly do much better than this.
