Vanguard Marks for Factions- Opinions?
So I recently finished grinding enough Crucible Marks to buy some legendary armor for my Hunter. While I do not hate the Crucible, I DID hate grinding out these marks. I did not enjoy fighting in the Crucible on my Hunter, and as soon as I had enough I stopped playing.
This got me thinking about Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks. Crucible Marks can be used pretty widely in the Tower, while Vanguard marks are pretty exclusive to... well, the Vanguard. Obvious it sounds, I know, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one sitting on a bunch of unused Vanguard marks cause there is only one place they can be used.
I know Crucible players complain about having to do the raid to get raid gear, and while that was a valid point for a while, Bungie has introduced a loophole with the upcoming Iron Banner armor pieces. So my question/plea- can we see some more love for PvE players? I would love to rock some Future War Cult or Dead Orbit armor, but I would love even more to buy them with Vanguard marks. I mean you earn Rep for them no matter what you're doing, shouldn't you be able to buy them no matter what too? Perhaps a mark exchange, like the upgrade materials? What do you guys think about this?

1 ReplyYou can always trade in upgrade material to the crucible quartermaster. It doesn't get you much but every bit helps. Not to mention it also helps towards your crucible rank.

Vanguard lvl 7 DE 3 NM 3 FWC 3 Crucible .75 (gonna be a while) Have the marks... just cant spend them on anything. why dont they let you gain crucible rep with your class item from PvE like they do with the other factions?

2 RepliesWell there is a new vender that is PVE based coming out in the DLC, maybe she will have stuff to buy for VAN marks? I doubt they would call her a vendor and give her bounties if she didn't have stuff to sell.

2 Repliesyes I always have max 200 van marks. but made the mistake of Ranking dead orbit first and having to grind the crucible. it would be so much easier if the factions excepted van marks as well. I mean what is the point of them receiving van rep if they cant use their marks. it really made the road from 20 to 28 a real grind
