To clear any disputes between fanboys of either before they even start I'll explain Pros and Cons. Hawkmoon has a 13 shot Mag, 3 bonus damage shots, great range, impact, and if you so choose you can make its recoil manageable. The Last Word has Fan Fire (+1), awesome stability when upgraded, good impact at close range, and it can clear crowds of enemies fast. Hawkmoon has cons in terms of recoil, especially when just obtained, and it fires/reloads moderately slow. The Last Word has little range, but fires fast, however the fire rate is countered by the low magazine capacity. As well as this it is a little jerky when first gotten but not nearly as much as Hawkmoon. I prefer Hawkmoon because it hits hard and is my type of play style, but if you like to rush enemies, run around in crucible, or just have fun with a weapon use The Last Word.
