I am currently running a test program for a AAA title with over 500 player/tester and the folks we look for to join said program have over 200 hours in the game with at least 3000 matches under their belt. If you are going to write off the players that have the most time in your game then you have a disconnect problem with your player base that will damage your game in both the short and long run.The other pat is the title I work for right now just did a major update and it took less than 30 minutes to download the whole 3.92gigabytes on a standard comcast cable modem. Most people that do the digital downloads of a game normally take 30 minute to and hour and a half to complete the process so there is another thing to think on. I figured I would just toss that out there.

  • I'm not sure that he's full of it. I'm not sold on the idea that the DLC really was ready to ship, but you are right. The standards for internet in the US have come up quite a bit in the last few years. How often, in your experience, are DLC content pieces shipped on the disc to bring down download times? I have heard of this here and there as a tactic devs employ for an end user convenience.
