MAJOR UPDATE:
Deej responded to me calling his attention to this thread in another thread. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/76633207/0/0
It will probably get buried rather quickly because every time he posts, 1000 replies follow.
You weren't ignored. I read that.
The point that Harold was making was that, when someone plays a game for 100 hours, you learn a lot. We've obviously created something you want to play. It's very obvious that you want to talk to us about how it can be better. When we stay focused on game feedback, good things can happen.
EDIT: Please read the article I linked to before posting. I have been accused of taking his statement out of context, which I do not feel I did at all, and I want to make sure that no one feels like I mislead them.
Harold Ryan: It's so broad. When I read a lot of the feedback, and I see it's after playing for 100 hours, it's hard not to couch that in, well if you played the game for 100 hours... What other game do you play for 100 hours, right?
This is not grounds for dismissing our feedback like you suggest. I'm calling you out. What games do we play for more than 100 hours? Since you don't seem to know of any, please allow me and my fellow gamers to educate you.
Fellow Bungie.net users, please feel free to add to this list and/or tweet away @Bungie or @Destiny your ideas about how many other games you can put more than 100 hours into. I'll start.

Fallout 3, fallout new vegas, zelda: a link to the past, deadpool, splatterhouse. just to name some of the funniest and best stories I've played and enjoyed for more than 100 hours. Destiny had potensial, they obviously forgot to add a story. Just an endless grind for upgrading useless weapons and gear with the engame goal of looking like everybody else.. Way to "create your own destiny" -_-

Looks to me like someone needs a life lol
-
While scrolling through i litterly could add over 100 games to this list lol

Holy fuxk we play a ton of games.
-
Edited by payerjer: 11/3/2014 1:25:33 PMAboniks left a good post about playing for a story and why we play for story
-
Left 4 dead 1 & 2 - I played those from 2009 to 2013. I'd still play if they were backwards compatible. I love their story I'll be getting eVolve in Feb
-
BF3 has 900hrs alone. Football manager would average 4-500hrs per year. FIFA would be 2-300hrs a year as would NBA 2k. GTA V would be in the mix for over 200hrs too.
-
Brave Frontier (game for ios and android)
-
I which they had asked him about all the glitches and why they are spending more time nerfing guns than fixing gameplay mechanics so the game actually works. Your releasing a new raid, great. Will I actually be able to play thru it without 20 different glitches making parts impossible?
-
Maybe put the games in alphabetical order? Would require work, but would allow easy sifting to see if a game is added or not, and to get rid of any duplicates.
-
That might have been the last 100 hours of Destiny I'll play.
-
I have over 100 hours game play time... but can I point out that a large proportion of that is taken up by the unskippable cutscenes and labourious load scenes? .. a lot of my 100+ time has been spent playing mini games on my phone waiting for interaction to start. Statistics are often not an accurate representation of fact. Just my two cents. Ps. Games that I have logged countless hours.. everquest, world of warcraft, dragon age... oh the list goes on...
-
I have over 2000 hours on monster hunter, 400 on pso, 200 on pso2, 6000 on super smash bros titles, 120 on toukiden, 100 on soul sacrifice. Probably quite a few more but I can't remember them all
-
When do you find time for the real world?
-
Darksiders 1, 2
-
Rainbow 6 Vegas & Vegas 2.
-
I have over 1500 hours in Skyrim, 1300 in Oblivion,2500 in Forza 5 and those are just the most recent long term games I have played. there is a long long list of others as well. Kotor, Sacred 2, Halo, 2, 3, odst, 4, Reach, I am a hardcore gamer, basically I latch onto a game and play it to death only problem I have is that this one is not like the other times I have done this. This time I bought the full digital package thinking it was going to be the epic story that was promised with rpg and MMO elements. But it failed that. While fun to play with my friends, they have already left, it has now turned to me just not wanting to walk away from money I can't get back because it was a digital purchase. But I can tell you unless it gets fixed. unless the story starts to make sense I will not be back. There will be no Destiny 2 in my future and when the DLC I have already paid for has been played I will leave this thing like a hot rock and my friends have already jumped ship.
-
Shadow run for genesis was awesome but the snes version kinda blew. Haven't seen anyone talk about that game in years one of my all time favorites for its time. I had to make 3 different characters just to make this game stretch wish they'd just let the dlc out early also didn't see rock n roll racing made by blizzard for snes not sure if any other systems had it.
-
Edited by Far Ranger: 10/31/2014 8:44:18 PMAnd I would add that Destiny just happened to come along at the right time, after a long drought of AAA game titles for any platform, but most especially for the next gen. Given that and the unfulfilled promises, I would further speculate that most Destiny players are now just killing time until the next game comes along — and the drought is slowly coming to an end too (good for us, bad for Bungie/Activision). Who of you all now play Destiny just to kill time [EDIT:] until the next good game comes along? <Raises own hand>
-
Edited by bloodstrider1985: 11/3/2014 8:56:38 AMEarthbound snes. Edit: just seen it after reading again whoops love bout 90% of the games list and played countless hours playing them

Through all the bullshit and lies, I like this part of the conversation though. Would be good if this could work one day.; My colleague plays on Xbox One. I play on PS4. We wish we could play together. What is the issue there? Why can't I play with my Xbox One friend? Harold Ryan: That's a question for Microsoft and Sony. They're not fans of each other, then? Harold Ryan: They seem to have a few competitive disagreements. It's a shame, really. This is nothing new of course. But when a game like Destiny comes along that is so ingrained in multiplayer, it shines a light on the division. Harold Ryan: If you look at the service we built behind Destiny, there's nothing from our point of view that would stop you guys from playing together. Technically, actually there are reasons why an Xbox and a PlayStation can't play together. Anyway, the characters are all in a common back end.
