POLL: SHOULD BUNGIE IMPLIMENT A TRADE SYSTEM?
if you are for or against state why.
bungie has formally stated they will never and have no intentions of implimenting one, but maybe if enough of the forum pop agrees or disagrees they could in a perfect world listen.
I believe there should be. not for the players or to fix the shitty loot system, but for bungie to keep it's gamers. From a PR standpoint your loot system is flawed, and you have no intent on changing it, so let the players fix it by letting them trade. the game is at a point where there is little to no real world value on raid gear or loot if you are saying there's no trade for RWT prevention.

Nope. I enjoy the fact I have to work for what I get. I've been lucky at times and unlucky most times....and I'm fine with that. Some ppl can't handle the game of CHANCE and see other ppl with stuff they want. But that's what keeps real gamers going. Keeps things interesting imo. Sounds like some of you *cough* nitehawk *cough* are a little bitter about not having an easy route to certain areas of the game. Just do da damn thang and play the game! I can give a fuq what other ppl have!

No. You get what you get, we don't need everyone with the exact same load out. Make your own way. My sons hunter looks nothing like mine. Why? Because he has a different path. If I gave him all of my extras, he would use what I am using. No thanks. Why play at that point? There is nothing to work towards.

If it's items that were just earned in a completed quest between fire teams and you had to spend almost max glimmer each time to activate the ability, in theory it could work.

Post on the forums to see if anyone has an extra one to give away Example: I have 3 max characters, my cousin only just recently started playing destiny, so it's a challenge for him to get everything sorted, but if I could just give him stuff then he could beat rank with most exotics instantly. (Assuming I didn't delete all duplicate exotics)

This game doesn't have a robust enough economy to support trading. Too few currency options and not enough variety.

1 ReplyOf course there should be. I'm seeing the same idiotic arguments about how it will ruin the fun. Games are fun because of the gameplay...I actually prefer having all the weapons and armour. Great combinations and more fun. Hell I'd level up my character if I had all of the best of the hunters gear.

No reason not to. They are already changing guns here and there. The reason why people saw it as bad was because it would break the game.... Well now that they are "balancing" it I don't see how it would break the game

There's no reason to not have trading between a fireteam at the end of a raid/poe.

If they add in trading it would push them too add in more and more gear. Instead of just re skinning a few weapons and re naming them.

I think trading upgrade materials would be fine. I've got 1600+ Sapphire Wire, but I'm always broke when I need the other two class upgrade materials. Either let us trade them or give us a way to buy them, without buying the overpriced armor from vendors.

Only at the end of raids, and only for armor/weapons/consumables that has dropped during the raid. May be difficult to implement, but that would be the only way I would want trading.

There already is. Trading money for exotic emblems, trading XP boosts for armour shaders. This is already a thing.

System is broke AF.

I think there should be limitations to trading. Trade an equal or greater/better item for something of similar value, (ex: exotic for exotic, strange coins for some other material/currency, etc.)

8 RepliesI disagree with you, if bungie implemented a trade system this game wont have the taste of getting a gun that you/i were grinding the game for 1 month or so, it will be not addicting to turn on my xbox do everything i can in the week before refresh trying to get my gun, and after you get the gun you were grinding for, in my case gjallarhorn, you feel the joy of getting the thing that you wanted for a while,(when i got it i laughed for about a whole hour while my fireteam telling me how lucky i am xD, its just that joy that makes me grind the game, ( i cant wait for hawkmoon to be available so the grind starts), plus u will get exotics easily and there is no point of nightfalls and raids except for entertainment, but on the other side a trading system would open a whole new window for people to enjoy the game if you like business, but i stick with my disagreement

I think yes but you would have had to have participated and completed a certain number of activities with the person you are to trade with to insure that you can't just give things to random players making it a little too easy. Far too many times I have weapons I want that my friends have duplicates of that they often just dissemble.
