POLL: SHOULD BUNGIE IMPLIMENT A TRADE SYSTEM?
if you are for or against state why.
bungie has formally stated they will never and have no intentions of implimenting one, but maybe if enough of the forum pop agrees or disagrees they could in a perfect world listen.
I believe there should be. not for the players or to fix the shitty loot system, but for bungie to keep it's gamers. From a PR standpoint your loot system is flawed, and you have no intent on changing it, so let the players fix it by letting them trade. the game is at a point where there is little to no real world value on raid gear or loot if you are saying there's no trade for RWT prevention.

3 RepliesIf a trade system is implemented, everyone would have everything within a month. There's not enough variety to justify a trade system. There's 20-25 unique exotic weapons. No one will trade legs since we can all just reroll till we get what we want anyway. So the only thing to trade is exotics. And with so few exotics, the game would collapse. Everyone would have everything very quickly because there are so few exotics and no one will care to grind anymore. Go out and earn your loot guardians. Stop being lazy.

6 RepliesNo because it takes the fun out of getting new shiny gear. It's not that hard to gear, yes a lot is luck. But I've got people that stayed after Christmas that have gotten a nice collection of exotics. Just do the strikes and nightfall. Gear will happen. Don't take the achieved feeling of finally getting something nice away

Trust me if there is a trade system it will be easier to hack the game and steal someone stuff would you like it if they stole all your hard earned exotics at the press of a button

Only trading shaders, ships, and emblems. But with faction stuff, you can only trade within the faction. Like revenant for hanged man or something along those lines.

By the way, I know most of you horde shit in your vaults. So I'm pretty sure trading would help you clean that up.

Just put it in, it would help the community and help people interact with each other. It can help us form an ingame economy. They should raise the glimmer cap and add something like an auction house from WoW. So somebody could put a Ghorn up for like 100,000 glimmer. If somebody wants it that bad. (Which I'm sure they do) they will buy it.

Yes and no if they do. They should put a limit of trades you can do. So say you have 5 gally but you only use 1 then you should only be able to trade 1 other wise you can keep going back and forth.

The loot system is fine. It's 100 times better than any MMORPG. You want a legendary item in Guild Wars 2? Good luck! It may take you 2 years of dedicated everyday farming lol. Or you can just buy one for $300. Would you pay $20 for a Ghorn? I have 9 of them and would like to sell my 6 spares...hmm...that's $120 that I can make! How about red death? I got about 5? I'll sell you a collection of every exotic in the game for...let's see $200! What a deal! How about a perfectly roll'd felwinter? $10? How about matador and party crasher +1? Maybe I'll start an online market place and just sell all the items I get for $$$$$ because kids WILL buy? Or because there's money to be made, I'll hire some Asians to do all the work for me!!! Or even better, I'll get all my hacker buddies and we'll hack into people's account and steal all their stuff to sell!!!! I'll get a scamming party going too!!! Trading is going to be great! I'll make so much $$$, Please Bungie!!! Make it happen!

Only in certain circumstances. Say amongst fireteam members at the end of a NF, POE or raid. It would have to be done before returning to orbit. I got my 6th or 7th Ghorn over the weekend and was with a friend who has 2 and needs a 3rd.

I think that there should be trading especially for old legendary items that aren't sold by vendors any more, but exotics should be acquired the normal way or else it would be too easy to get them all

Being against trading and using "if everyone had what they wanted why would they play" as an excuse is basically admitting that Destiny is a hollow experience devoid of content. I would probably play more if I could get the items I want and not be disappointed month after month by a brutal RNG system. If you use the excuse "it wouldn't be as exciting as getting it to drop", try asking the guy with no Ghorn how -blam!-ing excited he would be to have a friend give him one after playing since day one and never having it drop.
