I've been playing both destiny and borderlands and you honestly can't even compare them ... I like borderlands a lot have played all of them but it's not half the game destiny is in any way shape or form

You sir are insane.... I played B2 and all it's sequels for almost a year. I'm on month 2 of Destiny and am bored outta my mind. Saying Borderlands isn't half the game destiny is just makes you look ignorant. There is more content in Borderlands and it's not even close..... not even close. I'm not even counting the DLC.
-
I love borderlands but there is no way more content ... And bl2 was ok but the bugs and glitches in the pre sequel are disgusting you can dupe anything ... ... Not to mention the graphics ... Holy crap lol maybe bl3 on new gen will give destiny a run for its money but not these old gen
-
Hahahahahaha
-
It's definitely not half the game destiny is, it's triple the game, easily.
-
Its the opposite of Destiny lots of "variety" on meaningless side quests, a progression system that makes each level meaningless. Oh and the gameplay- its not good, its so so so easy. It never gets challenging, it doesn't have co-op (adding more enemies does not a co-op make), no PvP. Also the writing and voice acting is at best- on par with Destiny.
-
I don't see how you can't like this game, but you're grasping at straws. There's a difference between not liking a game and defending content that just isn't even there. Everything you said about BL2 could be said about destiny.
-
No, because Destiny has co-op and challenging levels. Borderlands 2 is just like a giant Summoning Pits strike.
-
There are two play throughs in borderlands. Something also tells me you never did the dlc for either. So can think of two bosses of hand that took incredible team work and character builds to beat. Destiny should have been more than what it is now.
-
Hate to break it to you, any competent player can solo clear borderlands with ease. Don't get me wrong, I have around 250 hours logged between the two, but I personally prefer destiny. This whole argument equates to somethin I saw someone say a while back "Oh are you enjoying that burger? You shouldn't, other places make better ones, and this one they made isn't even their best" It's so stupid to try convincing people they're not havig fun with something or that they shouldn't.
-
At what point during the destiny campaign did you feel you couldn't solo and needed coop? Lol.
-
Never once did I say or imply you shouldnt have fun with destiny. Its not a bad game, just not worth 60 bucks in my eyes.
-
Dude where are these challenging levels? Sans the raid

Edited by X BLACKWELL X: 10/30/2014 7:30:26 PMBoarderlands reviews SMOKED Destiny...across the board...by all major publications...its not even close dude.
-
So did the game Transistor, so did Angry Birds, so what?
-
lol and both of those are more interesting than Destiny
-
reviews are bought and paid for.... I don't put much in them,. don't get me wrong it might be a great game, but I never like borderlands. Can't get past the stupid cartoon graphics
-
Reviews are bought and paid for. Is that why cod gets good rankings all the time? Because ACTIVISION buys them?
-
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's why... like I tried saying... reviews are an attempt to persuade you to buy something or not. Either the company selling it to you or a competitor trying to stop you probably has a hand in it.
-
Ok.... Activision publishes cod and destiny. So why didn't they just buy good reviews then?
-
Call of duty is a terrible game lately but it continues to get good reviews... it's Activision's most popular IP it supports... they pay alot more to have good reviews. It's an auction... depending who pays the most if they get good reviews or not. I'm referring to the most influential reviewers not independent... they usually follow public opinion. I for one will never listen to a review... some of my favorite movies and games were poorly reviewed
-
Ok. So why didn't activision buy good reviews for destiny?
-
Probably figured it wasn't worth spending the same amount ... spent too much on marketing. This game seemed to have a stronger marketing campaign then call of duty... which convinced people this game was something it wasn't. Honestly that it the point of marketing... really to make the product look it's best or better than it really is. I mean whenever have you eaten out and had your food look like what was In the pictures. Don't get me wrong I wish this game was more like there initial vision... but honestly if you didn't know what you were getting when the beta was available it's your own fault. This was a chance that everyone could see how the game worked and would showcase the game better than any review. Instead of reviews watch some streams on YouTube or twitch after the game comes out... probably more useful
-
I agree with you here but I think alot of people were hoping that there was more to the game than just what was in the Beta. I promise if everyone knew that was it, it wouldn't have sold the way that it did......unless you pre-ordered
-
Lesson is don't go by what you hope guess... I hope to be rich one day
-
I can accept that. All except the beta. The beta usually means they'll add more to the game before release. They didn't. Also with only 8 levels, I don't think anyone saw how empty and repetitive the story/missions were going to be. Also I don't like the way light levels are. But that's just my opinion. There's one set of armor for each guardian. And you have to do the raid to get it. A very small part of this games community have even done the raid.
