hate random armor drops by playing the Raid, everything else already have...

How can player wear what they want and still be level 30? As it stands the only way to reach lvl 30 is to have 4 peices of armor with 30 light each. As exotics can reach 30 light the rest of the armor must be obtained through random armor drops by playing the Raid, everything else is worthless. I believe this is not the best way to reach lvl 30 because it completley ruins the entire armor system. First, it makes every other legendary armor obsolete because regular armor caps at 27 light. Playing on your lvl 30 and just got a sweet legendary drop? oh it's a legendary armor engram? No way it reloads auto rifles quicker? Well, dismantled. Secondly, it prevents players from customizing their characters to their play style by making default characters with all the same armor perks. Want your lvl 30 character to specialize in hand cannons by being able to reload them quicker and hold more ammo for them? Too bad you get to reload special weapons faster and hold more heavy ammo like everyone else! And what happens when they raise the level cap? Will all the armor currently in the game become useless? Well I might have a solution for that. Bungie could add a random drop from the raid called a "VOG Seal" or something. What this does is you can apply it to any piece of legendary armor and it unlocks another progression sphere on that armor to be leveled up and increase it's light to 30. Now any and all legendary armor is now useful. Obviously there will be some limitations like, it can only be applied to a piece of armor once, cannot be applied to armor that already has a max light cap of 30, etc... The same concept can be applied to the new raid and dlc coming out. With this I think everyone wins. Players can use which armor they want but still be required to play the raids. Problem: Raid Armor, - Is the only way to reach lvl 30. - Makes every other armor obsolete. - Ruins character customization by having everyone be a default lvl 30 character. Solution: - Add a random drop for a "raid seal" which can be applied to any legendary armor to increase it's light Thoughts?

  • As a avid player and participate in raids, I have to say I agree completely with this idea. Before you bash me, hear me out. I have a level 28 Warlock, and I think he looks amazing, (my psn is the same as my name, check me out of you'd like) but the fact of the matter is, at the end of the day if I want to reach level 30 I have to sacrifice not only my play style, but the personalization of my character. I love my helmet, I do not like the warlocks raid helmet! I like my boidfang vestment because it's classy and put together; I do not like the tattered and raggy look of the warlock chest piece. I could go on and on but the fact of the matter is this guy brings up a valid point and a great idea. To add on don't pretend you don't think it's a little silly that almost all of the raid armor props only help you IN THE RAID (correct me if I'm wrong) but that's dumb to someone like me who loves the crucible. I like that my vest lets me re spawn with grenades and such. Bump this if you're a supporter of this idea. I would absolutely love a way to level my current armor to 30 besides raid. Even if it means you get the seals from the raid, or it's as rare a chance to get as getting a exotic from a rare engram, I would love it and it would give me personally a reason to continue putting hours into the game and playing raids. I hope bungie already has plans like these implemented and this guy here is just insightful.
