Because kids live in the moment...and adults tend to live in their heads...and somewhere between past and future. The irony is that you had to talk her into letting go of her own preconceived notions of what the game was...and then she was able to have fun playing it. The people who complain the loudest and the longest about Destiny are those people who simply can't get past their preconceptions of what the game is....or was "supposed" to be....to enjoy the game for what it is.

I don't "admit" things that I don't believe. This is the most fun I've had playing an action video game in ten years. Most of the games that other people rave about around here, bored me to tears. Bored me to the point that they sat gathering dust on my shelf after only a single play session. So my motives are purely selfish. I don't want a game that I love ruined by people who think they're owed the world for less money than a tank of gas...or because they didn't do their homework before buying the game. That being said, when I think Bungie messes up. I have no problems saying. so. But UNLIKE most people here...I only say it ONCE. You tell someone what you think ONCE...it is feedback. Tell them twice...and its whining. More than that, its manipulation. Bungie screwed up the loot system on the rollout. The randomness in engram decryption showed a lack of understanding of the human psychology of rewards/expectation. Bungie has screwed up the changes to the raid. Reacting like a team of people with bruised egos. By yanking things out of the game when people find unexpected----but legitimate---solutions to the boss fights, other than the one Bungie scripted. Bungie screwed up the rollout of this most recent patch. Rendering the raid unplayable for the day as players got showered in random disconnects. Bungie has been slow to get a handle on the disconnect problems that many players are facing. But this is how software rollouts work. I've seen far worse ones than this...and with products that were seeing FAR less traffic and stress than Destiny is seeing. At the end of the day, I simply accept that complaining is a powerless act. If I like what Bungie is doing with the game----and I do so far----I will continue to play it, and support it with my dollars. If I don't...then I won't. Just like I've done with Ubisofts games. Bungie, most certainly screwed up certain aspects of this game. But you show character not by failing to make mistakes, but by how you respond to the mistakes you make. The jury is still out on Bungie's response to these mistakes. But 90% of the whining around here boils down to a handful of things. 1. People who (mistakenly) believe that the market value of a AAA video game is still $60. It isn't...and hasn't been for years. 2. FPS gamers complaining about the MMO aspects of the game (the gear grind). 3. MMO gamers complaining about the FPS aspects of the game (the restriction of the play space and the scope of what you are allowed to do in it).

Yes,the game can be fixed and the Fanbase Can be Saved. but Bungie actually Needs to Do the work. put out the Word to this forum,and others. we hear you,do you hear us? its an easy question. that presidential news piece was devastating,they really dropped the ball. they should have been upfront with us... now,im still learning as i go,and i cant level up because i NEED certain pieces to level up. i cant play certain game modes Because im not a certain level and i Cant get There. i just dont have enough time to farm,even tho im Trying and i AM farming every time i play the game,which btw is Boring. this itself,is a flawed concept. they could have ripped off the borderlands weapons systems and their TRADING ability easily and we all would have been happy campers,right? so instead i have to run 3 diff characters.....just to hold all my crap stuff that i cant put in the Tiny bank. and farm and pray i ever get a freaking piece i need,thats hey o for the Character im Using. which btw the game should Recognize which character and drop accordingly. meh,,next point. jesus,now im almost into full on story mode..wth..this is all your fault...see what you do to meeee. :p kk,ill end with the value of the games. brand new game,whats the maker actually get out of the whole trip from process to store? maybeeeee,25-30 apiece? then,wait a couple of weeks and blammo its used for less and trade-ins usually around 20 bucks. thats a killer of new game sales too...used.... so they making money yes,but not the killing everyone thinks. as far as the dlc-s,im not buying till i read what the ones that do have to say Here,in this forum. because while you call it whining,and complaining, i have to remind you,that if these people Didnt Care about the Game,they wouldnt even be here......
