This is for Everyone saying this game or the DLC isn't worth the money... Divide your cost by your playtime in hours and you'll get what this game cost you per hour... If you actually played all the content including completion of the raid atleast once, there's no way you can even argue it wasn't worth it.. I see people always complaining its not enough content for the cost, but if you actually played all the content there's no way you paid more then a buck per hour of fun lol.. What the hell kinda game spoiled all of you..
EDIT: some are saying that there 200+ hours of playtime don't count because they didn't have fun during it..... You guys make my brain hurt lol
EDIT: So.. Apparently some may be forced to play against there will .. In this case please don't use the simple formula because it won't work for you..
PS: I'm really sorry that this is happening to you I didn't realize that there was some kind of sick slavery ring where people are forced to play games against there will..

I'm at 66 hours of play so I'm at just under $1 per hour of play.
-
It is pretty sad when you can beat another game faster than you can beat the hard Raid. I've gotten my monnies worth, and some.
-
your wasting your time. people on here don't want, or can't comprehend, logic.
-
.18 cents per hour :( what am I doing with my life
-
The only games I've put more time into than I have with destiny are final fantasy 2 (many many play throughs) and Fallout New Vegas. When I see my hours played I'm always a little surprised, because it doesn't really seem like I've played that much. o_0

Edited by Shadow: 10/29/2014 6:56:50 PMI bought skyrim same price I'm still playing it and still haven't done absolutely everything get that BS outta here. If I buy a game I'd want it to far exceed what I played for not same amount or under. After all isn't that what games are for to entertain you for long periods of time.
-
Oh you get 20 cents an hour how about you factor all of those other games you have that are more fun than this crap then come talk to me
-
20$ for the DLC if you buy it without being in a bundle or whatever. that's like 2-3 hours of work? mowing some grass? shoveling some snow? and in the end you'll probably make out with 5-10+ hours trying to do the raid and what not and getting new gear to grind, ect in the end your getting more time for what you spent.
-
if i include the cost of buying the expansion pass when buying the game it was around 86$. So all the characters I've made im at about a $0.27 value right now per hour.
-
28 cents

Edited by platelamp: 10/29/2014 6:10:02 PM65 cents an hour over 39 hours. Not bad. Cheaper than an Arcade game played for 30-60 seconds for 50-75 cents. I still have to level hunter and titan!
-
I don't think the DLC should cost half as much as game does. It does at Brits. But the main game has kept me hooked up for sure. I quite enjoy the gameplay. But I feel like it's running out of steam already, unless they figure out some modes for people who don't like to PVP or Raid.

I'm currently at $0.24/hr Good investment

Edited by MammothNuts: 10/29/2014 6:36:51 PMIt's all for nothing though. I'm real close to selling this game because I see no light at the end of the tunnel. You get to level 30 and you're going to be waiting for content that.... SHOULD HAVE COME WITH THE ORIGINAL GAME FOR AN EXTRA $20!!. I more like to compare my fun factor of this game, vs other games of the same sort of genre. I probably played months worth of diablo 2 and it cost me about $35 when I bought it. Nice try though.
-
Game + Season Pass / 86 Hours played = $1.16ish/hr
-
Bump!
-
That's not how this works, and I have a feeling they sent a big ripple through the gaming community with this pile.
-
I'm at .22 per hour played if I factor in the digital pass that I bought as well. I think I will eventually get down to even .08 and this game has been well worth it already.
-
Your cost analysis ruins people's ability to complain about anything! Sheesh! Logic! I factored the hours I get out of this investment versus the cost of her monthly hair appointments... She was mad, but I won! (on numbers...) But you married guys know there's no such thing as winning in your marriage, am I right guy?!
-
I don't understand why people complain so much when they have hundreds of hours of playtime. Most games are over after 8-20 hours. People don't complain that they didn't get value for money for those games. What is different here?
-
$2.8 an hour Over the course of 168 hours....
-
Your logic is a stake to they heart of these trolls. Watch it, lest you incur their frothy wrath.
-
Agreed. A ticket to the latest movie will set me back $12 at my local theater. Add in the cost of food and drinks, and I'm looking at spending $20 at least for 2 hours or so of entertainment. Meanwhile, I can spend $17 on the Dark Below, and get 5 to 6 hours of additional content, with new maps and gear. Needless to say, it's obvious which is the better deal.

Edited by Seldser: 10/29/2014 6:19:19 PM83 cents per hour, guess my results are a little skewed by my purchasing the ghost edition edit: this calculation is for my Warlock's play time, rounded to the nearest hour (132 hours), my other characters have pretty negligible play times
-
While the game is not perfect I've put in enough playtime to completely justify the price of the game! In that sense I cannot complain!
-
sounds interesting, should i try this for skyrim to?
