Edit: I want to make it very clear that there is a fine line between negative feedback/constructive criticism and downright hateful, abusive and disrespectful comments towards Bungie/Deej. If you fall into the second category, this is directed at you. If not, then I'm right there with you.
I actually feel sorry for Deej. He's in a position where he has to act in an extremely professional manner to an extremely unprofessional portion of community.
A position where anything and everything he says can and will be used against him. A position where every word is being twisted and interpreted in all sorts of different ways, scrutinised to every extent.
He can only sit back and watch as the players he's trying to help are rallying against him, yelling "Liar!" And "Traitor" Powerless to retaliate.
He's in a battle he cannot win. Such a painful irony that the Bungie employee with the biggest voice to the community is the least heard.. I can only imagine what he's really feeling, what he'd really like to say.
But I'm going to take this opportunity to speak for him. Scrutinise me. Report me. Ban me. I couldn't care less.
-blam- each and every single one of you little whiny brats. You need to grow up and realise DeeJ is not the enemy, he doesn't have the power to fix the game in an instant, and he's not responsible for what the Devs do or don't do with their own game! It's impossible to please everyone in terms of what should and shouldn't be changed, and while your opinions matter don't expect the feedback from a 12 year old to influence major game changes.
You also can't expect Bungie to fix server issues in an instant. It just doesn't work like that, the majority of you have no idea how these sort of things work, how complex it is, but it is extremely evident that THEY ARE WORKING ON IT.
Then you all biitch oh but they promised this they promised that... What you need to understand is that Bungie only has limited labour resources to distribute, and therefore they need to prioritise their work load accordingly. What's more important? Spending hours testing and adjusting the thorn or fixing crucial server issues preventing a multitude of players from even logging in?
On the behalf of Deej, grow the -blam- up, bogans of the Destiny community.
Placeholder for my response to idiots:
Thats a fair point, I respect your opinion.
Ughhh they keep nerfing stuff because of all of the whining losers that suck so bad at this game.... Ughhh they don't listen to the community at all, Bungie is a bunch of unprofessional dipshits!! Sooooo, which is it?
-
i admire the attempt but i think youd have more success trying to put out a forest fire by pissing on it. lol
-
That's his job. You just got reported for asskissing, you mug.
-
Stfu keep sucking his cack. That's part of his job he can quit whenever he wants.
-
When the parenting company grows up, and Deej, then the community will grow up too. If everyone stopped the name calling then the issues would be dealt with quicker. But if the issues of a below stranded game where not present, then you wouldn't have children having a hussy fit or adults reporting their problems in vein due to nothing being addressed 'cept for minor additions that improve close to nothing but after released grind events of the same limited content and over self-praising for advertisement. Time Bungie grew up and dealt with the separation they made in their community. This is on the behalf of someone who cares nothing on name calling and doesn't contradict that belief.

No. He gets a hefty paycheck for what he does. You people need to stop shelling out excuses for them.
-
Didn't even bother to read your post, he's paid a generous salary for that exact purpose. You're an idiot.
-
The main job of a PR rep: sacrificial scapegoat.
-
Lost interest after "i actually feel sorry for deej" so you feel sorry for a man who gets paid well im sure to spew forth lies to the bungie community..
-
Great post OP, sadly the majourity of the console community don't have any idea let alone appreciation for the work and effort that goes into creating a game like this as well as technical maintenance, coding & balance. Over the years the destiny universe will become better and better and to be honest I think what weve been given too start with is really really good (apart from the canabalised story).
-
Agreed, just got into a keyboard war with two little brats who couldn't accept the fact that the raid is harder now.
-
i completely agree. thankfully, this post shows that there are some (hopefully most) that are completely thankful for everything bungie works for, and are sorry for how much shit they catch because their game is great and it doesn dumb things down or make them easy for all the children that are here. sorry Deej, I am part of this community, and its a terrible community sometimes, sorry we arent better. some of us are trying to correct the whiners before they get to you
-
Thankyou.
-
Go down that list.
-
This desticle is pathetic.
-
Fire half of PvP, Hire more PvE. Community will STFU, except PvPkids crying for Nerfs. PvPkid - Blocked/Ignore Win.
-
its not our job to be professional. It's bungie's and they aren't acting the part. so -blam!- them, we'll be angry if we want to be. 100% justified here, you kissass
-
Maybe his life would be easier if he told Bungie that we want a game that we actually paid for, and that Crucible sucks ass and should include stuff like KotH.
-
I like you. I totally agree. He shouldn't need to but Deej should start his messages with 'don't shoot the messenger' as 90% of these forums throw all of there prepubescent rage at him even though he is our representative, he's the one that speaks for US and aims to make the game better for US. People need to grow the -blam!- up. If you read this i just want to say, thanks Deej for putting in all the effort that you do. Not everyone wants to throw it back in your face
-
+1 Glad I'm not you right now Deej!
-
500 million dollars goes quite a long way.
-
Read the first sentence and fell asleep...... Yesterday!! Just waking up now
-
Hmm needs more cowbell 5/10
-
No just no.
-
It's part of his job, I'm sure he gets paid well.
