YEA! I GOT AN EXOTIC... aaaannnnndd now everyone has it, thanks Xür....
Ok so everyone feels this way, what's the point of a weapon being "exotic" if they're sold every other weekend by this tool of the nine? The very meaning of exotic is, and I quote "of a kind not used for ordinary purposes or not ordinarily encountered." NOT ORDINARILY ENCOUNTERED!!! They aren't "exotic if everyone encounters them! So here is my suggestion. With every public event, have a new exotic weapon and armor piece. There is a limited amount of time to earn enough reputation with that specific event, to earn yourself a true exotic item. Once the event is over, that's it! It's over, now everyone who toiled and ground out that event to get the exotic, truly has something to be envied. Something that few have earned, and nobody ever will again. THAT IS EXOTIC, THAT IS WHAT WE WANT.
Which brings me to my closing topic. Now everyone on the Destiny team is thinking. Well the people who don't have much time to play are shit out of luck. If it were me I'd say, "yea, to bad." However it's not me, and if you think everyone who badly plays will be sore about it. Implement a "pokemon" style trading system within the tower. This way people can have the oppritunity to trade for an exotic they missed out on. END RANT: EAT MY SHORTS XÜR

I have played many MMOs and such.... I always liked getting real exclusive items that not many people have, but in destiny with the way everyone bitches and moans I can see it now. ( insert weapon) this is OP that's OP nerf this and then nerf that. It would be more annoying then cool. You think these forums are filled with cry babies now... Just wait. I would like it but I don't see it happening.

I did the raid and killed Atheon without cheesing him off, got my first exotic from a raid which happened to be Patience and Time and Atheons epilouge and I was so happy. I was even heppier because the next day Xür was going to come in. The next day... As I go to the tower to seek Xür out (just look for the crowd of people) to check out what he was selling. I go trough his inventory... Then there it was... Patience and -blam!-ing Time! So what I did was turn my xbox off and back on. You know... Maybe it was a glitch because I know that bungie won't be a -blam!-ing complete asshole and just give that weapon... Right? Went back... It was still there.... I REALLY HATE BENGIE!!!!!! YES I SAID BENGIE! -blam!- YOU BENGIE! -blam!- TOU AND YOUR "RNG" AS YOU SAY. They need a trading system. Bungie says that they don't want to put one in because it ruins the experience a player gets when they receive an exotic or a legendary... Well... Maybe if you would make the "RNG" ALIT BETTER THIS SHIT WOULDNT HAPPEN! also as for experience... 95.9% of the time I ask someone with an exotic armour or weapon I'm like "hey... You. How did you get that exotic armour or weapon" they respond with a simple. "Oh this. I bought it from Xür"... Yeah... So exciting... I am overwhelmed by your tale... So... Freaking... Overwhelmed... t(^_^t) - that's for you bungie and Bengie.

6 RepliesI'm guessing your talking about truth? Xur has sold it before, but I do agree he should not be selling weapons, instead he should sell exotic weapons engrams instead so everyone gets something different.. One week he should sell a primary exotic engram, and the next a secondary, etc

No just no. I wanted suros and my friend got it 3 times. He wants gallahorn and truth. I had them BOTH 3 times. I want some story around Xur. A cut scene a video. Some -blam!-ing info about this weird looking guy. Where the f did he get all that loot? Can't we just kill him or solar grenade him off the ledge and steal it?

2 RepliesI posted an idea bout XUR selling multiple exotic bounties instead of one off the rack weapon. But i doubt it will even be considered because it requires them to actually write new content for each gun.

That's why you're limited to one. Also, Xur has a small variety of exotic weapons-- he's repeatedly sold certain items instead of rotating through the whole list. And not all exotics are built the same, so you have to change your load out. I love the Hawk Moon, but sometimes I need the arc damage from Time and Patience.

Honestly I think most legendary weapons are better than most exotic weapons. There might be a couple of exotics that are actually useful like icebreaker. But most of my weapons now are legendary because there stats are better.

1 ReplyIt really doesn't matter. No matter what they implement people will still wind up getting them. Sooner or later once they add in more exotics you will see some that maybe a lil more rare but right now there's a small number of them so of course most people will have them.
