Why do you care what the players from a losing team get? As long as it's less than what the winning team gets...it's fair. Some losing teams have good players carrying poor players and cant win on their own. I felt bad in 2 of my four matches yesterday because I was in the bottom two of scoring and we lost big. If I had done better maybe the team would've won but that doesn't mean our whole team sucked and shouldn't get some incentive to keep playing

The more you reduce the reward the more people will just bail on a losing match.

I believe the medallions should be a 50% rep gain. Two losses equals one win, that's plenty fair in my opinion. The Iron Banner is meant to be more challenging than regular PVP and those taking part in it should be well aware of that. I appreciate Bungie taking steps to make the tournament feel more toward what you'd expect in terms of abilities and advantages, but a minor change to medallions could do well. Many will be entering in the Iron Banner, and if you and your team are cleaning house and have solid strategies to lock in your wins, those who face defeat should be given something but they shouldn't be practically handed a win themselves.

I agree with you BUT... it comea down to finsing the exact and optimal % the medallions are worth. It needs to be enough to keep players in a losing team but but yet not too much to make the victory and the hard effort involved unnecessary. I believe that 50% might have a hard time keeping players in the game. I know it's half of a full victory and I personally would be okay with that since a loss is a loss but I doubt other players will stay for that. Perhaps 60%is more optimal? I also don't currently know the % worth of a medallion compared to the full rep gain of a victory. Someone fill me in?

Medallions are a great idea and and I think they should get maybe less than 50% rep. There's a few flaws it it because some people will take advantage of it. Going AFK or not giving it there all. Really there should be some kind of point system to get a medallion proving they contributed to the match. We've seen it with exotic bounties (the incentive bounty) plus two points for a kill minus one for death, plus one for capture assist and revive that sort of thing. A method like makes it so anyone who's trying can earn points and has to work to keep them. I think it's a simple way of proving players contributed to the match and nothing annoyed me more than people bailing during a match. Destiny has a pretty sadistic loot system where it's not a rare occasion for the best player or invaluable team members (even on the losing team) walks away with nothing. Then people who did nothing walk away the strange coins or something down right insane. I love the Iron Banner never enjoyed PvP that much. It's not about taking part or just being there that's an awful mentality to have. It's about the fight. If you're going to lose don't except it and don't let it be easy for them. It's the Iron Banner in the destiny mythos isn't it meant to be these legendary games, the apex of the crucible. Those who win get showered in glimmer, weapons and armour. Those who do nothing should get nothing and those who make the matches worth while (and enjoyable) should at least get some kind of respect and rep.

i think it should be the way it was this is the IRON BANNER only the winner should get a reward!!! only thing that should change is, if you quit or leave for any reason you should LOSE rep and put an end to this freeloading bullshit!!!
