It's Saturday and other than running the Vanguard bounties, the Daily Heroic, and a few Public Events, there's nothing to do if you don't play PVP. I hit the Vanguard 100 mark limit 2 days ago so there's no point in pursuing that. Before everyone jumps me out for not going into the Crucible, allow me to explain why I don't play PVP anymore. I started playing PVP with the original Unreal Tournament in 1998. That was 16 years ago and my reflexes had already slowed down to the point where I was barely competitive. Now, at 68-years-old, it's just not real enjoyable having my a$$ handed to me over and over again by a gaggle of testosterone fueled teenagers. I get through the Nightfall and the Weekly Strike at level 28 by playing smart, not by being a gunfighter. In the last two days I've helped a couple of other players get though the Nightfall and the Weekly, but it does get old after a bit. Five other players were gracious enough to allow me to tag along on the Atheon portion of the Raid on normal. It's the first time since release that I've had the opportunity to try the Raid. I know you're not going there, but match-making would be nice even if it's just for limited periods of time.
I suppose the bottom-line is: Give us something to do that is infinitely repeatable. A simple XP reward would be more than adequate. The best suggestion I've seen so far is some type of Horde Mode that allows players with different skill sets and physical abilities the opportunity to participate in a meaningful way. (By the way, the Queen's Wrath was a great outlet to extend the day for PVE players.)
Please understand that I love the game and want it to succeed mightily. I just don't want to sit forever at 29 with no path forward other than the Raid which remains a limited opportunity. Continually spinning one's wheels simply destroys the incentive to stay with the game.
Thanks for listening! Toonces T. Cat

Well I can admit as a testosterone fueled 23 year old, I often shy away from the crucible. For me, Sundays and Mondays are filled with farming for materials and leveling new guns and gear. During the week, if I have too many beers I also resort to these activities because my hand-eye coordination is often the first thing to go. Past leveling a new character, I don't have any other suggestions for ya, Gramp'.
