Really? They are useless? Please feel free to tell that to my hawkmoon that I got from completing my first ever nightfall and do tell that to my brand new shiny invective that I got after blasting through a bunch of lvl 24 strikes to get the glimmer and having to claw my way through the crucible to get the k/d spread of 25/0. And do tell that to my voidfang vestements that I fought hard for by slowly earning enough strange coins to get it three weeks ago. Do continue.

Did you even read the OP? This is nothing to do with how good exotics are. He's saying that since many of them are gained from pure RNG they feel worthless as you didn't really earn them.
-
Then just change useless to worthless. My point still stands. I went though a lot of crap to get the ones I have now. They aren't worthless
-
So you want to nitpick over one of the words he uses and ignore the point of the post, whatever floats your boat
-
His point is that the RNG makes the guns worthless as they aren't earned. My point is that they were earned as I had to go through a lot of stuff to get mine. I'm not nit picking I'm attempting to say that one of his points, in fact his main point, is incorrect, as most people don't get their good gear through nothing. It still takes a lot of effort to get the stuff
-
Don't you think doing the missions/bounties would make you value your exotics even more though? Instead of just saving for Xur or doing the Nightfall over and over we could earn the right to do specific (and very difficult) missions to obtain our weapons.
-
His point on that front is a valid one and I do agree that the current system is flawed. However, I simply wished him to stop generalising as his main point made it seem as though I received all of my exotics through strange coins received from xûr rather than all of the effort that went into getting them. It would be nice to have more specific unique stories for each of my guns, but I've had some pretty cool adventures getting to where I am now in regards to getting my guns. And I think that was bungies idea.
