T-bagging in Skirmish?

Picture this. You're playing Skirmish, toe to toe with the enemy. Suddenly- a teammate has left the game. You and your other teammate take some beatings as their team hunts you down as a pack but you hold optimism that the tide shall turn by way of cavalry arriving or the two of you hunkering down and playing smarter. Moments later, your last teammate bails. It's just you. Your radar is suddenly seeing red and they magically appear out of nowhere to give you a good stomping. You put up a valiant fight- perhaps taking 1 out with you or weakening their shields. But dead is dead. "Damn", you think to yourself, "this is going to suck." You prepare for a challenging game of cat and mouse Tom and Jerry style when the most perplexing thing happens. They T-bag you. Vigorously and without warning. Your blood begins to boil as they do this to you every time you die. Their teammates who were nowhere near the battle do everything in their power to get a T-bag before you can respawn. My question, those of you PvPers who have rigorously T-bagged a helpless Guardian in 3v1 is this: Why. Why must you add insult to injury? Why do you you strut around T-bagging kills that you didn't get and probably lack the skill to get? Show some respect, restraint, and honor. T-bagging at the very least should be saved for times of great skill and challenge. My friend and I partook in the Skirmish a while ago and it was a 2v3 and we had been wiped and they needed 1 kill and us probably 3. They were instigating T-bagging, too. Well, we took the fight to them- took them all out and nearly got gotten. We literally roared with victory and got so pumped that we T-bagged and danced around their dead bodies. It was such a clutch moment that deserved the celebration. I don't see the appeal in an unfair 3v1 battle where after getting tripled teamed you get, well, triple teamed. Edit; Most of your reasons are stupid LOL but I can get behind "pissing the last person off so they'll leave and we won't waste time" Edit; Yes, I'm quite familiar with Halo and t-bagging. I am merely questioning it's place in an unfair 3v1

  • Me and my team come upon quitters quite often. I admit, we tee bag. But not for the reasons you think. A 3 v 1, the 3 wins. Almost no matter what. We just want the game to end and go to the next, hopefully tougher opponent. So we tee bag in hopes to frustrate them into quitting, end their misery you know?

  • Happened to me once. I stayed in a corner with a shotgun and annoyed them til the end of the game. Got sent a message saying they t-bagged to get me to leave but he had respect because I stayed to annoy him back and it made him chuckle. All good fun

    • Lol this happens almost every time I play skirmish. One guy leaves right at the beginning and the other guy follows because he keeps running straight at the other team and dying. I actually played an entire match 1-3 and won after trailing 1000-200 cuz I got pissed about getting t bagged lol.

    • It's definitively just to try and get that 3rd guy to rage quit, especially if they weren't doing it before you were alone.

    • Lol. Thanks to this thread, I now know to NEVER quit the match if I am the last remaining on a team. I had no idea it aggravated the teabaggers so much. Ha!

    • T Bagging in hopes that the lonely guardian that will clearly lose the match will just back out and not waste time by staying. I always do this, simply to piss the other 1 person on the opposite team off to no end. Not many people enjoy having 3 sacks dipped up and down on their faces. Works about 75% of the time.

      • Tbagging should be independent of your success in a match or lack there of... Tbagging is intended to show disrespect, and should be reserved for one of three circumstances 1) you killed someone who under any normal circumstances should have killed you but executed poorly this is called the salt in the wound 2) you finally killed someone who was playing in a conservative manner and has killed you many times. I call this the transcending t bag. 3) you really feel like being a little douche for reasons asside from actual gameplay, for example you had a bad day or the person you killed had a name that included terms such as "swag" "420" or "yolo" this is called the call of duty t bag I hope this helped you understand the role and appropriate uses of t bagging Note: this list is not trily exhaustive just fairly inclusively generalized

        • People are poor winners. They think trash talk and tea bagging makes their win more admirable when all it really does is show what a classless douche they are.

        • We want you to leave. A 3v1 is not fun, and it's a waste of time. That's why we T-bag.

          • It's a way to get you to leave the match. A lot of time is wasted in 3v1 because it is almost always a cat/mouse hunt. Aggravating for both sides.

          •
Your blood begins to boil
This is why a lot of people do it. I am in favor of TBagging, even if 3v1 IF the circumstances call for it. Such as the loner TBags a player after a kill, or the loner sits and hides for the entirety of the game. I've been on the loner side, nothing brings more satisfaction then getting slaughtered and TBagged only to have a couple teammates arrive and turn the tide. TBAGGING GALORE when that happens. Hell, I'll TBag until I get killed if we end up with a big enough lead.

            • There is no specific place for t-bagging! Its done whenever and for whatever reason the person is doing it for. We've done it to the 1st players who die in the raid, in pvp etc...these guys are doing it to piss you off and its worked. T-bagging should not be reserved for: 'great moments of skill or challenges' as that is just stupid, cuz t-bagging is immature anyways. It's just a bit of fun between mates, and of someone uses it like that team did against u is just to annoy you. No biggie.

            • It happened first minute of a match when Destiny first released. I got team teabag get after the other people 2 got kicked off. I ended up just staying the rest of the game to piss them off after the group teabag. One of them sent a message asking me to quit, and when I didn't there was other colorful words shared with me. Figured players would of been added to the match but never happened. Ah well still had my fun hiding out the whole match.

            • The reason people T-Bag is to get a rise out of guys like you. Don't take it so offensively. That just makes it more funny.
