Update 11/13/14 3:20EST: Over 8,000 community members have taken part in this poll and here are the results so far!
PvE: 8428
PvP: 1174
Personally I am a big fan of PvP, but like many others I bought this game for the 'epic' storytelling and co op PvE it was advertised for. Knowing Bungie I expected a lot more from PvP in this game and currently it's just not a go to for competitive multiplayer, but I hope to see improvement in the future.
I understand that many people on these forums are PvE players but there seems to be overwhelming demand for new PvE content and I hope to see a weekly update detailing the future of PvE sometime soon so we can all grind happily knowing it will pay off.
To those of you who wanted to know where the 'both' option was I intended this to be a black and white question with no neutral answer, that's why the question stated what's most important. If you didn't vote that's okay 8,000 other people did.
This was my first post on these forums and i am very satisfied with the response, as a community we all need to keep up the constructive feedback on our ends and help the devs create a masterpiece!

kind of happy there is a game that has decent pvp and pve...
-
PvP: where Halo players who sucked at Halo PvP try to convince others that this game requires so much skill so they can feel like they are good at a PvP game.
-
PvP has absolutely no depth or real entertainment value, especially without skill based matchmaking and only 4/5 gamemodes at any time. It just becomes a borefest filled to the brim with infuriatingly bad players.

-
6027 for PVE 831 PVP Pretty clear numbers.
-
It's interesting how Bungie caters to PvP, you can look at Titanfall & see how well that turned out for them.
-
Now when you say pvp you must be talking about the shotgun / fusion rifle / suros regime crucible. Ya ill take PVE at least the enemies there use a variety of different guns
-
Bump for PvE!
-
Too bad Bungie can't add this poll to the login screen. BEFORE PLAYING, PLEASE VOTE! Not optional. I'd love to see the real stats on this...
-
This needs to be bumped daily so Bungie will get a clue...Their PvP sucks, stats should always matter not once every few months this is a rpg progression game. Players who want PvP that is always normalized go play one of the others such as CoD, BF, Halo, etc... #DEEJ since you are in listening mode please hear this poll, and do a statistics check on what would this would turn out to be if every player did this poll.... We want PVE, PVE< PVE! PVE!

PVE. PVP is just too barebones at the moment. Maps are pretty bland, and the game modes are not that fun. Would love to see a 12 v 12 playlist.
-
Damn, Bungie needa learn from this, 88% vs 12%. It's obvious majority votes for PvE. And not Iron Banner lol
-
The PVP in this game is not in depth enough for me to care about it. Get yourself a suros regime and a shotgun and thats the whole game.
-
This PvP is a joke. So many random ways to die. Cannot wait til Halo: MCC. Just a little over 2 weeks now
-
CoryScot, how many votes you have so far?
-
OK, so looking at this poll there is a clear majority of players focused on PVE. This should indicate to Bungie that their customer base is PVE focused and as such cater their product more towards that end of the spectrum. This ever focus on PVP is not market focused, it is where they WANT us to go. This is exemplified by the focus they have on the iron banner and not queens wrath. If they were to put more time into the queens wrath with actual story missions and possibly a strike or two the community would be more behind them. I love this game, it is mostly everything I hoped for (although nothing could meet that sort of hype) but there needs to be more added. They have the means and the opportunity. Queens wrath is a foundation to a semi-DLC that can be implemented. Please Bungie, listen to these numbers and give us more PVE.
-
I prefer PVE but PVP is fun once in a while. (less fun now everyone's using the same gun though)
-
PvE players are so hard headed lol
-
I honestly like both. I play a lot of PvP but running around in the cosmodrone is a great change of pace. I don't get why people cant like both...
-
I wonder if Bungie has seen this....
-
Edited by Valvatorez: 10/27/2014 3:18:16 PMHonestly I cant pick any as I play both and enjoy both. Why wont everyone do the same and enjoy every aspect destiny has to offer

-
they seem more bothered about pvp im guessing thats where the money is as all games now focus on multiplayer and add everything else for a bonus
-
i mostly do pve because i'm shockingly bad at pvp
