Why is hard to find a good girl and have a lasting relationship?

I was a shy dork until I was like 22. I lost my virginity at 20 but stayed shy for awhile. I'm not sure if it was my friend, the military life experience, the gym, or just getting older and not caring, but it is a lot easier finding a lady for me now. Never had a real gf when I was younger, but now I stumble upon relationships. I'm thinking being more relaxed and laid back is the trick?
