So i beat it on hard last night, and after everyone left to orbit, i hung around for a bit and did some exploring. was probably in there for 40 minutes.... So after you beat atheon, the sync plates will still activate if you step on them, i raised one, had a few chimes and strange sound effects, then went to the next one, and raised that one. Got a few rumbles from my controller and the screen shook a bit, followed by a few more sounds that sounded like something was happening. I kept thinking it was a chest raising or something, but searched the whole place to no avail.... The teleports did not open. I'm wondering if there is a way to get the teleports back open..maybe a chest appears on the other side?? Also if you look at the door you come in after u beat atheon theres a huge round light shining directly on the door... Anybody have this happen to them? Let me know if anyone takes the time to check this out... Curious why they leave you in atheons room forever after you beat him.....
