I'm tired if the bullshit "blind loyalty" accusations because you people have centered the universe around yourselves and believe you are the one and only person capable of making decisions and "seeing the truth." -blam!- off and let people who aren't so goddamn emotionally invested enjoy this game and come to the forums for shit other than to hear you morons go on like Jesus bestowed you with special powers to call bullshit. Yeah, this game has issues, but get over it instead of constantly dwelling on it. Maybe find a new hobby.

Read it again. It's more than about just that.

  • I agree with your sentiment about the "blind loyalty" comments- but if, as you say, you are not so emotionally invested in the game, why do you get worked up enough to to come into a thread you disagree with to tell the OP to stop posting shit so you can enjoy the forums? You can simply bypass the stuff if it bothers you and you are not emotionally invested in the game

I am emotionally invested in the fairness of people's abilities to make their own decisions, not so much into the game. Personal attacks for not sharing an opinion are not called for, especially when the opinion is loaded with fallacies. I will have to re-word that section to relay that. An example is Driveclub. I felt that game completely underwhelmed and under delivered in it's vision and promises, especially with a year long delay to work out it's online issues, you couldn't even get on for over a week, and the game was advertised as an online racer. I contacted Sony and received a refund, and felt any sort of rant about that game would be pointless. Sony took care of me, and I knew I was done with that game. I don't go into the forums and call people basically ignorant morons because they like the game. People want to share a negative opinion, fine, just shouldn't be doing it in that way. It tells me the OP is probably a very hard person to deal with in real life and is unable to take any sort of criticism. They could apply this logic to other areas of their life I am sure.

  • I cannot help but see a little hypocrisy then, based on your reply to the OP and what you have said here-

In what? The last part? They left the door wide open. It's not the first time either. They made it personal.

  • -I do not see personal attacks in the OP (unless something was edited out)- yet you tell him to -blam!- off and call him a moron and tell him to stop posting -you say you are emotionally invested in the fairness of people making their own decisions- yet you attack him for making the decision to post his opinion, or the way in which he posted it (another decision he made) and tell him to "get over it" and find a new hobby; -
People want to share a negative opinion, fine, just shouldn't be doing it in that way.
- yet you did it that way when sharing your negative opinion about his OP

Yes, they made it personal. It is not hypocritical however, because I don't make personal attacks on large groups of people because they don't share my opinion for absolutely no reason. The circumstances of their post and mine are different, and not hypocritical. Telling people they are blindly defending this game in the manner the OP has is telling people they are incapable of making their own decisions, and lacks the intelligence to do so, and / or cannot make an informed decision as to why the game is fun. That is everyone who enjoys this game. So it is personal. That comment is towards every individual's beliefs, thoughts, opinions, intelligence levels. You seem smart, I believe you know the difference, but are more interested in arguing just for the sake of arguing. I am on a phone, so am not posting everything because it's a pain in the ass, and I don't want to create a huge wall of text out of this argument. But if you need me to get detailed, let me know.

  • I am not trying to argue for the sake of arguing, honestly- not sure why you think that. I guess I do not see the personal attacks on a large group of people for having differing opinions. If this is in reference to the "immature" and "blindly defending" comment he made- this is not completely untrue- you must acknowledge that there are plenty of people on these forums who reply to any criticism of this game with rage and "then stop playing" or "-blam!- off" type of responses, even to thoughtful feedback/criticism- I suppose I felt that his comments were not meant to encompass all dissenters, just the ones who do, in fact, act immature and hate on anybody who shares a negative opinion of this game-

  • I can agree that no one can say with absolute certainty that this game is perfect, it has a lot of issues, but blindly following is due to a lack of being able to have an original thought. The attack is on the capability to produce an original thought, and to be able to reason. If people cannot find fault in the game, it is probably because of something similar as to the negativity: money invested, the hype they built up for themselves, etc. not blind following.
