Why does everyone think exotic means rare?
I really think its more about wanting no one else to have the cool gun that i got from the rngesus.

First of all, when bungie was originally talking about the exotic weapons they said that it would be unique, rare, make you a big damn hero. So to answer your question: [b][i][u]bungie does[/u][/i][/b]. Not to mention the fact that when exotics were first dropping for people they were a [i]big[/i] deal. People were inviting me to raids because I was carrying the ice breaker. People messaged me and asked how I got the bad juju.

It is rare. Just because it is sold by a vendor doesn't mean everyone will get it. They might save up for a better weapon down the line. Unique means the unique upgrade and the weapon's mechanics. Each exotic is suppose to feel different than the other guns. Rare is well very common in Destiny. Legendary is common. Everything is common.

And you just proved my point. You had an exotic earlier than most. You felt special. You stood out in the crowd. In a video game that few people will be playing in a year. Let alone 5 when the next new gen consoles come out.

You think extreme availability would be a good idea? Wouldn't that make the game that much easier?

How would differing availability make this game easier or harder? 99% of this game is soloed anyway. And exotics are only marginally better than legendaries.

Exotics are only better than legendaries due to their unique upgrades. The fact that you can only carry 1 exotic is a great limiter even for people who collected them all. If everyone has every exotic the -only one exotic can be equiped- mechanic will make it so not everyone is always using the same thing. The only reason people are using the same exotics right now is because that one exotic (SUROS regime) is clearly overpowered.

More people use exotic specials in the crucible than primaries. So what if it has the range of a scout rifle it also fires just about as slow as one too not to mention how the recoil really makes it difficult to use at long range. As for the damage, it doesn't even matter in the crucible so it only helps in pve and even then so what? Every exotic has a unique ability and that is it.

SUROS has max stability and fires faster than full auto scout rifles. Their range is on par with scouts. The damage in crucible is the same as scouts. This gun was simply made too op. Btw more people use the SUROS regime than anything else.

If they nerf it then it is just gonna end up like the mythoclast in pve, useless. [spoiler]By the way it definitely doesn't have max stability and the range is only on par with scout rifles if you choose to use that perk. [/spoiler]
